   Beautiful food! Beef in black is so full of flavour - best we have ever had! Everything is just So lovely! Officially our go to Chinese. Always quality, red hot, on time and very reasonable in price. Won’t order from anywhere else.

   We moved to Chesterfield about 5 years ago and it took a while to find dependable quality takeaways. My daughter recommended Golden Star and since then we've only ordered from them if possible. This evening we ordered a 'small' meal for two, with the full intention of having leftovers for tomorrow. It was quite honestly the nicest Chinese takeaway that we have ever had. The food arrived quickly, piping hot, and cooked to perfection. I am already looking forward totomorrow's supper.

   The positive reviews surprise me because this was hands down the worst Chinese food I've ever eaten and that includes the chow mein I reheated in the microwave two days after purchase that I'd found in the back of the fridge. Bland, dry, overcooked. You know how after a long week you just want a tasty takeaway, this food just honestly made me sad!

   First time ordering from here. Food arrived hot and pretty quickly considering they were about to wind down. (Way past 10pm). Spare ribs were amazing. My friend was very satisfied with his beef in black bean sauce. Plenty of meat. My Singapore chow mein also really good. Again, very generous with the meat and veg. Definitely be eating from here again. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is they don't do vermicelli noodles. But thats me being completely selfish. Lol. Enjoy

   Food quality: the food was rather dry and felt like it had been under a heat lamp for a large amount of time. Not the best Chinese we've had. Ease of payment: for the exact same food on Justeat from the same place, it would have cost us £6.10 more!!! +£2 delivery. So we went into the shop and ordered in person. Cash only. In shop experience: Staff seemed very nice, and I had my food within 5 minutes of ordering. Overall: rating low due to poor food taste and extortionate online prices.
