   It’s a rushed and hostile environment, some of the staff clearly don’t want to be there. Bad and dismissive attitude from one employee at Stockport which has left a bad taste. I’ve used CEX for well over 10 years now, but never again. The particular employee clearly didn’t want to be working there over the festive period and it showed in his attitude. It’s not a welcoming environment in the Stockport branch, no smiling or helpful attitude, it’s like the staff resent you as a customer and hate actually working there. don’t know about other branches. Lost a customer here. There has always been an undercurrent of staff malaise here, but the final straw for me.

   An amazing place, took my phone in to get a price as it wasn't on there system Told to come back around half an hour went in 10 min before the quoet was emailed, I was then served by a lovely lady who told me what to do in resetting my phone to sell, would highly recommend and got my phone sold for a good price

   Bought a phone a few months back only for the screen to randomly keep going black (90% chance that the ribbon for the screen has come loose as it's a problem with that specific brand of phone) upon taking it back to CEX, with a full warranty, I was told that I had done it myself. They didn't even test it they literally held the phone and said "user error you've broke that yourself" and refused to help me anymore than that. Gone way further downhill then it already was, I'll never be buying anything there again and I very strongly advise everyone to steer clear you cant fix incompetence.

   Found they sell cpu's and RAM sticks. One RAM module was actually faulty but was exchanged. Had to wait an hour while their tech guy tested it. They should test before selling. Wasted journey to go back to store.

   Lots of stock very helpful staff the woman that dealt with me was very knowledgeable and polite got everything i needed checked online first for the stock and sure enough the stock was in store can't fault this store

   Staff are friendly although the shop looks a bit of a mess around the dvd section now, used to enjoy browsing but it's a bit like a jumble sale. I really wish they would invest in a few airfresheners though!

   Decent size Cex shop, many second hand games for multiple system going back to the original xbox and ps2, items are usually well organized and the staff are friendly, mind you this is still a Cex shop so don't expect amazing bargains but still a nice shop for second hand products.
