   Lovely food however the service was appalling. Had to ask where our food was after 50 mins of waiting. The Managers excuse was it’s Xmas and busy however most people were drinking and not eating . Manager no apology waiter no apology for the wait. Shame as a nice pub with good food once it finally arrives

   It was a disappointing and frustrating experience. The staff who served our drinks tipped over a whole cup of hot chocolate onto us when he was serving it to us. It was all over our clothes and jackets and almost the hot drink is on my child's body. We all dressed up to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it turns into nightmare have to wash all our clothes and jacket back home. luckily no one get hurt but the whole day was ruined. The only thing I could make up to my wife and Child was to request a free dessert to us and the manager sorted it out. However we rather not having the accident and enjoy a clam and quiet lunch instead.

   Yet again had a very nice lunch. I tried the grilled sea bass and it was wonderful - well worth the money. The atmosphere at lunchtime is always very relaxing and the staff very welcoming.

   Came for my birthday with some of my family this eve (23/02) haven’t been since 2019 so wanted to go back like old times! Lovely pub, very clean and friendly . Lovely staff. (Thankyou for setting our table up before arriving) Bit of an issue with some of the food…. My mom and sister are vegetarian and both ordered falafel burgers but were told it was unavailable. There was only two more choices for vegetarian which both my mom and sister didn’t really like (halloumi and veg wellington) there was nothing else on the menu they could have had which is shame! My children and my other sister loved theirs. I however, had the “posh fish and chips” which was actually really nice but there was literally no fish inside? Just scales. I’ve posted a picture below. And barely any mushy peas (literally a spoonful) Just feel like I’ve spent £13 for chips to be honest. Overall a tad disappointed with the food :( Never had an issue when I used to come back in 2018/2019. Not sure if it’s maybe because it’s Sunday eve .

   Fantastic food on a busy Friday night. The woodman's has had a revamp and the place looks and feels great! Vibrant busy buzz but still getting our food out to us without a long wait. Food was awesome leaving our party of 3 with empty plates and full belly's

   Came in today a party of 5 for The Festive Meal. Greeted and shown to our table straight away . Rachel came over to confirm all our choices. 4 having traditional Xmas meal which was delicious and 1 steak cooked perfectly. We were all looked after and thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon.    Lovely staff, prompt service, and great food. As an autistic/AuDHD couple, my partner and I appreciated the atmosphere (low and warm lighting, music not too loud, not too many people but enough to not seem 'dead', etc.). We enjoyed our meal here :-)

   We regularly come here. The set menus are great value. There's a great range of beers on for my husband and the team are very friendly and helpful. Food has great portions. Just wish they'd get more Cauliflower cheese ordered never seem to have any. But I wouldn't mark you down for this as everything else is spot on.

   Very nice pub / restaurant. Fairly varied choice of food to cater for.most people. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff, only thingnis that you order at the table like a lot of establishments now so you lose the personal touch, but overall enjoyable experience. Very reasonable prices as well.
