“We recently hosted a private function at Divine Restaurant in Shirley, Solihull on Saturday 30th May 2025, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We’re a team from EH Smith, and we had exclusive use of the restaurant for the evening – and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, professional, and attentive. The team at Divine went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. The ambiance was lovely, and the restaurant felt welcoming and vibrant, perfectly suited for our group event. The food? Outstanding. Every single dish was full of flavour, beautifully presented, and authentically Indian. From the starters to the desserts, everything was top-notch – our whole team was raving about it! There was something for everyone, and all dietary needs were catered for without any fuss. A huge thank you to the entire team at Divine Restaurant for making our evening so memorable. “Very impressive restaurant. We love our food from the east but this has recently taken it to another level. I went for a friends birthday party and all I can say is if you want to impress someone with a look of a place this is where you need to be. The food was incredible I think this is probably as authentic as you will get, everything is fresh and the vast range of starters and main courses were amazing. The food was fresh delicious and the waiters were incredible. They explained what the dishes were they were very thorough with relation to allergies as a friend was allergic to a few items however the Restaraunt was fantastic. Starters came out on time hot delicious and enough to feed a group of hungry ladies! The mains were incredible I have to admit the best I’ve tasted. Parking was ok as you can park in the centre car park which is joined with tesco this was ideal as straight after the meal I got to buy a few baby essentials which was very convenient. Overall I can’t believe the amazing work of however designed this place and thought the colours and atmosphere is amazing. Highly recommend.”

From the moment you arrive, Syed and his team make you feel so welcome – they are friendly, attentive, and always happy to go the extra mile. The service is outstanding and really adds to the whole experience. The food is just as impressive. Every dish is bursting with flavour, cooked to perfection, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the quality and freshness in each bite. Whether it’s a classic curry or something a little different, everything is consistently delicious. They are always willing to advise and tailor a dish to your taste also. With amazing staff and incredible food, Box Trees Indian easily deserves five stars. “Very nice decor, large restaurant with plenty of different seating and levels. Staff was very attentive and sat us very quickly, it was a quiet day. The table was big enough for all our food, there was salt and pepper at the table. We used a buyagift voucher with a set menu, this was very easy to use. Food was great, served quickly, staff checked on us regularly and were very nice and polite. We parked in the Asda car park as we did a little shopping afterwards (3h free parking).”

“Great place to take family in for dinner or just go into the bar have a drink . my kids really enjoyed their first Persian jojeh kebab ever ! manager was so nice and welcoming . food was 5 star ! I even order more to take home for kids . definitely going bk there often !”

“Here’s a polished review you can use: --- Had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The food is truly authentic, and the flavors took me right back home. The Vada Pav was the highlight for me—perfectly spiced, fresh, and absolutely delicious. It’s easily my favorite item here! A special mention to the restaurant manager, Mr. Omkar, who was very warm and welcoming. He personally served us and made sure we had everything we needed. Excellent service and great food—highly recommended!”

“A great place to visit for drinks and food. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. On this particular occasion we went for Sunday lunch, the portion sizes are very generous and well presented. The only disappointing thing was the roast potatoes. Normally they have been excellent, but on this occasion, we found them to be a little bit dry. Fortunately this didn't determine from the rest of the meal which was very good.”

“I still remember coming to this little place when it first opened many moons ago. The people were as lovely as I remember them to be and the food was spot on. The schnitzel was perfectly done and the chips were golden and crispy. The bratwurst roll was also amazing and a perfect afternoon snack. If you’re ever in the area, highly recommend checking out this hidden gem and give our local businesses a bit of extra support.”

“Had a lovely long awaited catch up with friends today we all agree that Desco has a lovely friendly and comfortable atmosphere. I had the tapas board and it was lovely the patatas bravos especially good. Staff were very friendly and nothing seemed too much trouble which is a 10/10.”

“Had wonderful trip to the Saracens Head with my husband over the weekend for our anniversary. The service truly made our little trip even more enjoyable with delicious food and friendly helpful staff, having a lovely chat. The pub had a warm atmosphere and made our special day even better. “Haven't been to this branch for ages as l normally go Acocks Green. So l ordered chicken wings and tender strips via the app. Really good customer service as l asked flavours to be mixed and extra sauce. Tasted really good after such a long time alongside the dips. Update: Chicken and rice customised how l wanted with extra sauce which l wanted as mix flavours so it wasn't dry. I also got a nice surprise where l was given regular fries which l didn't order. Really good Pepes branch with good customer service.”
