“We recently hosted a private function at Divine Restaurant in Shirley, Solihull on Saturday 30th May 2025, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We’re a team from EH Smith, and we had exclusive use of the restaurant for the evening – and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, professional, and attentive. The team at Divine went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. The ambiance was lovely, and the restaurant felt welcoming and vibrant, perfectly suited for our group event. The food? Outstanding. Every single dish was full of flavour, beautifully presented, and authentically Indian. From the starters to the desserts, everything was top-notch – our whole team was raving about it! There was something for everyone, and all dietary needs were catered for without any fuss. A huge thank you to the entire team at Divine Restaurant for making our evening so memorable. “It's been so many years since I've been here...and I was so impressed. I've discovered a new favourite dish..the Murghi Special, it was amazing, would recommend..and a reasonable price considering it includes mushroom pilau rice. Offered lime pickle (as well as the usual accompaniments) with the poppadoms, which I love..and the keema naan was also lovely. 5/5 from me....it'll be my new fave place now for home delivery. Check their website, 20% off. Shapla has been here in Shirley for so long that many people forget it's here! Remember it guys, worth a visit!”

“Very impressive restaurant. We love our food from the east but this has recently taken it to another level. I went for a friends birthday party and all I can say is if you want to impress someone with a look of a place this is where you need to be. The food was incredible I think this is probably as authentic as you will get, everything is fresh and the vast range of starters and main courses were amazing. The food was fresh delicious and the waiters were incredible. They explained what the dishes were they were very thorough with relation to allergies as a friend was allergic to a few items however the Restaraunt was fantastic. Starters came out on time hot delicious and enough to feed a group of hungry ladies! The mains were incredible I have to admit the best I’ve tasted. Parking was ok as you can park in the centre car park which is joined with tesco this was ideal as straight after the meal I got to buy a few baby essentials which was very convenient. Overall I can’t believe the amazing work of however designed this place and thought the colours and atmosphere is amazing. Highly recommend.”

“I visited Shirley Kebab House and ordered a mixed doner wrap — it was absolutely delicious! The meat was fresh, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavour. You could really taste the quality in every bite. On top of that, the service was brilliant — friendly, quick, and welcoming. Great portion sizes too! I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and craving a quality kebab.”

“After trying many of the other local Currys houses I found Box Trees Indian. Box Trees Indian is a real gem! From the moment you arrive, Syed and his team make you feel so welcome – they are friendly, attentive, and always happy to go the extra mile. The service is outstanding and really adds to the whole experience. The food is just as impressive. Every dish is bursting with flavour, cooked to perfection, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the quality and freshness in each bite. Whether it’s a classic curry or something a little different, everything is consistently delicious. They are always willing to advise and tailor a dish to your taste also. With amazing staff and incredible food, Box Trees Indian easily deserves five stars. “Very nice decor, large restaurant with plenty of different seating and levels. Staff was very attentive and sat us very quickly, it was a quiet day. The table was big enough for all our food, there was salt and pepper at the table. We used a buyagift voucher with a set menu, this was very easy to use. Food was great, served quickly, staff checked on us regularly and were very nice and polite. We parked in the Asda car park as we did a little shopping afterwards (3h free parking).”

“Chicken was the best I've had in a long time! Not dry at all and seasoned perfectly. Food was delivered amazingly fast and was piping hot. Followed up with a call to thank Piri Finos as ive had many bad experiences lately from other food places. This place restored my faith! Thank you and keep up the great work. Will definitely be eating from here again when the need for chicken arises.”

“Really enjoyed my order today. The Veggie Supreme pizza was flavorful and loaded with fresh vegetables. The sauce was tangy and the crust had a nice crunch. Only minor issue was that the garlic bread was a little cold, but overall the meal was satisfying and worth it.”

“Here’s a polished review you can use: --- Had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The food is truly authentic, and the flavors took me right back home. The Vada Pav was the highlight for me—perfectly spiced, fresh, and absolutely delicious. It’s easily my favorite item here! A special mention to the restaurant manager, Mr. Omkar, who was very warm and welcoming. He personally served us and made sure we had everything we needed. Excellent service and great food—highly recommended!”

“This is the best Indian food I’ve had locally, I’ve tried a couple of other places, but now I’ve found Lloyds I don’t need to try anywhere else. I ordered delivery. The food was excellent quality, generous servings, plenty of meat in the curry (I’ve had some that were almost all sauce and very little meat), it was delivered in less than an hour and arrived hot. I have no complaints whatsoever and I highly recommend.”

“A great place to visit for drinks and food. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. On this particular occasion we went for Sunday lunch, the portion sizes are very generous and well presented. The only disappointing thing was the roast potatoes. Normally they have been excellent, but on this occasion, we found them to be a little bit dry. Fortunately this didn't determine from the rest of the meal which was very good.”

The schnitzel was perfectly done and the chips were golden and crispy. The bratwurst roll was also amazing and a perfect afternoon snack.
