Worst food Iβve ever had! Ordered chicken burger which were nothing like a chicken burger! You wouldnβt even know there was chicken inside the muffins! Flat old looking chicken that was like cardboard and when I took a bite all I could taste was fish so I didnβt carry on eating it! The wait for the food was long especially for what we got brought out because it wasnβt even a chicken fillet in the burger! Not sure what was wrong with the chicken that was served but Iβm expecting to be ill from it after having one bite!

After my visit today, I doubt I will ever go back. I have dropped it from a 5 star review to 1 star. I took my staff there for lunch today, he had a dead fly in his tea cup, the milk had bits floating in it that looked like linen from a tea towel. The tables upstairs were a dirty, they had crumbs on them, I don't think they had been cleaned all day, other diners were commenting on this too. The food took 40 minutes to arrive, by which time we had finished our tea, we asked for more tea, which never arrived and top it off the food was crap. It looked like something a teenager would throw together when left alone on a weekend. I was told it had new staff and a new chef, but I don't think they have a chef, they have someone who does not know how to cook & prepare food. When the other people owned it this was a great place to dine.

Very poor quality - Sausages were strange and no real meat. The hash browns were cold, the beans were cold, the toast was barely cooked. Customer service lacked any flexibility. Was charged Β£3 extra to have poached eggs instead of fried. Only positive would be the environment is lovely.. just a shame about the food :(

I visited on a sunny Sunday morning based on Google reviews. There is plenty of parking for 3 hours at the shopping center, just don't go over on your time limit! We chose to sit outside since it was a beautiful day. We ordered inside at the counter then staff brings food and drink to us. Staff was fantastically friendly and helpful! Food was reasonably priced and of a decent quality. I got a pot of herbal tea with a wee delish biscuit and my friend got the latte. I ordered the full English & substituted beans for mushrooms without a hitch. We got a delightful tiramusu afterwards, which I'll be getting again! Overall, The Hideout is a lovely cafe that is perfect for a bite, hot drink or just a rest while shopping. β‘

Food ok. Salad definitely had seen better days was all brown round the edges. Panini was nice though. Little bit on the pricey end for a cafe. Service - the blonde lady who served me was lovely very polite. However the lady who gave me my food! Very rude slammed plates down in middle of the table without asking whoβs dish was for who. Didnβt ask if we wanted any extra condiments such as mayonnaise or vinegar etc. Did not say at all. Normally you would be told at least to enjoy your food ? First and last time for me unfortunately. I donβt mind paying more but for better service.

Went in with my mum and auntie, when the food arrived it was already cold and my mums had been sat in front of another customer for at least 5 minutes. When she asked for a fresh one to be made, they took it back and brought it out again (quite clearly the same food) and hadn't even heated it up. On all of our plates the eggs were cold and the yolks were rock hard. When we politely explained the issues we were offered replacement but given that we had already tried with my mums food we were not interested and they refused to give us a refund. Even without the issues with my mums dish the food was terrible quality and very expensive. Would have given it a minus stars if possible.

I have recently been into Hideout three times. Each time the food has been great, good size portions, with lovely coffee and friendly staff. The cafe is a clean and pleasant to sit in. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Had an extremely nice large Latte yesterday. I was still thirsty so I asked for a glass of milk. The young lady obliged but wouldn't take any payment. Really nice place, I look forward to trying their breakfast. I'm sure it will be wonderful.
