Ordered for 2 servings of the Mont dβor for 4. First waitress returns to say thereβs only one left so we choose 2 meal replacements. Five minutes later waitress returns to say the other one is also gone so we choose another 2 subs. Discovered we were served the wrong bottle of red. My duck confit burger arrived and after biting into it and feeling a crack I pulled out the bone in the attached photo. Also no dressing on one of the salads. Waitress was very nice and apologetic and told the kitchen about the large bone but didnβt take the duck off the bill! Place is a total disaster, avoid!

Cheese Fondue lunch December 2023. Worth a visit if you want a Swiss experience. Food Authentic and good service and vibe. Popular venue.

Ok but if you have had fondue in a real Swiss place youβll be disappointed. Service was confusing. Starters to share were not really made to be shared (how can you share an onion between several people?) The square is beautiful

Place is reminiscent of a Swiss cabin so kind of authentic. Thereβs no cloakroom so sheepskin back on chairs is lost behind your big winter jacket. Starters of GruyΓ¨re and onion had virtually no detectable cheese what so everβ¦ also very small Fine dining portions and prices to match but this is supposed to be comfort food, the pork belly main was decent, just twice as much mash and itβs much more acceptable. Service and cocktails good.

Firstly, our waitress, Elsa (I hope that's right) was just delightful and so professional. We were an indecisive party of 3, and she was so patient and helpful it really made our experience feel special. So the 4 stars are mainly for her. The upside - the cheese fondue was yummy, as were the oysters and the chilli garlic sauce. The mulled wine was also delicious. Now for the negatives...The fondue was lacking interesting things to dip (we got pickles, potato and bread), I think the chef could be a little more adventurous here! The burger was a bit strange and fell apart, and it was accompanied by a load of southern fried wedges which became very dry and boring after a a couple of mouthfuls. The traditional champagne cocktail had the wrong balance of flavours - it had waaayy too much Angostera. That was not pleasant. A nice place to grab a drink and a fondue with friends before skating but don't expect too much from the chef.

Great afternoon with friends, felt like coming off the mountain from skiing except this time it was skating! Lovely fondue and atmosphere

While the food was perfectly fine, I'm surprised this got the swiss tourism approval, the meals were definitely more like "inspired by" swiss cuisine, and not authentic swiss dishes. Worth mentioning as well that the Assiette Valaisanne AOP starter mentions that it comes with sourdough baguette, but mine didn't have any and when I questioned it with a member of staff, they said it doesn't come with bread?

Pretty atmosphere around the summer set house. Cheese fondue was only average. Flavor was ok but the overall texture was way to thin for a fondue. The bread was very dry. Overall not worth a recommendation.
