What a find this place was. Competitively priced for the area, great selection of food. 2 great pasta dishes for our table and rack of ribs were lovely. The table next to us went for the Sunday roast and I looked on enviously at their choice. Away from the crowds and easy to miss. Between StPauls and Blackfriars it's well worth seeking out.
When price and food is a match!! It was an absolute delight from start to finish. The sea bass was cooked to perfection, full of flavour, beautifully balanced and so good that I couldn’t leave a single bite behind. The chocolate brownie was just as impressive, rich and warm with a scoop of ice cream that made every bite feel like a treat. I couldn’t quite finish it all, but it was divine. A solid experience with delicious food, lovely presentation and a place I’d happily return to. Only downside was we booked a table for 9 and we were given one round table and another rectangle which made it difficult to communicate with one another.
First time trying squid ink — quite fun! Service was quick and even though it’s in a touristy spot, it wasn’t too crowded.
Always nice to wander down a lane and find something special. On a particularly sunny London day The Glean looked neat and inviting. Outdoors was the place to be. Service was prompt and personable. Cold beers, and lovely fresh fish and chips(served on a hot plate, nice touch). Very reasonable pricing.
I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was inviting, with a perfect balance of comfort and style. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, making sure everything was just right throughout the meal. And they have outside seating area which is very nice with sunshine .
I was in London on business trip and looked for a place with fish and chips. So happy I chose this place. Fish was tender, not salty as I like, chips were tasty and accompanied by an absolutely superb tartar sauce with capers. Compliments to chef! Not crowded place on Tuesday night, nice glass of wine, great service. Added to my faves. Thanks!

Overall a good experience. The service was good and the food is solid for that price point. Would go back if I am in that neighbourhood. Good lunch spot.
