   Booked a table for Saturday night. On arrival there was no service just "your table is there" This was our first visit we had no idea on how things were ran. After a while we got up to ask how we order food and was told menus are at the end of the bar. Fine with self service if your actually served. Other people arriving at the bar after me were served before me. They seemed genuinely annoyed that a big group had a food order. The food was not good. I am baffled by the reviews. Chips look good but they are massive and so undercooked. Everything came out so quickly it was 100% not homemade as stated. No flavour the the madras and the chicken was processed and rubbery. And for the price! It was not worth it. Seems maybe this is a pub first and dining second. So maybe our mistake. I wouldnt visit here if food is your main priority. Have a few drinks first then the food might taste good

   Our first evening meal at the newly renovated Dane Bank (previously lunchtime buffet) did not disappoint, Me; Rag Pudding (big chunky homemade chips and lashings of gravey) and Sue; Turkey Sizzler & Rice served piping hot, both delicious. The new layout is now wide open whilst still offering 4 distinct areas which give a choice of where to sit and enjoy the food and drinks or get involved with the music etc. Good choice of drinks and although the food menu is short, there is something to satisfy most people, highly recommended we will be back.

   First time visiting this establishment. Very impressive. Clean, spacious layout. Friendly staff. Nice pint. Great selection of ales, lagers, spirits & soft drinks. Ordered 10oz steak rare. Cooked to perfection really good portion size. Will be returning to try the different dishes on offer. Also has a bar side and entertainment at weekends. Definitely recommend

   Nice warm friendly atmosphere. Open log fire provides a lovely setting and then there's the great food. Would recommend nice place for a family outing away from your own kitchen

   I changed from my usual (Lasagne = the Holy grail) reluctantly to try the Korean bbq chicken and egg fried rice from the specials menu. And I was not disappointed. It was delicious!! Hopefully it will be on the specials frequently! X

   What a great pub, visited here Saturday night I had the lasagne and chips. The lasagne was lovely and the homemade chips best I've ever had in a pub. They had a band on, who where great had the whole pub dancing. Superb pub great staff and landlord ! Will definitely go back. Bet they do a cracking Sunday roast ?

   My son and daughter in law took me here today for Sunday lunch...it was very good indeed..we all said we will come back next time I visit them..food was delicious and plentiful..what more can a you ask.
