    Great little battle cruiser. Great atmosphere and plenty of character. Great pint with plenty of life in it. None of this short measure and half a ton of froth on top!!! Great all round place with great staff. Now a regular place of mine.

    After 40yrs of driving past, going from Stockport to work, i finally popped in today with my wife. On opening the door we were met by a singing voice. The voice belonged to the barman topping up the fridges. What a friendly welcome. He was witty, confident and friendly. It Has a "local" vibe, which is great. One local started talking to us almost immediately (if slagging the barman's singing counts) We popped in really early, clean bar, clean toilets etc. Wish this place was closer as I bet it is a great place on the weekend. Didn't try food as it was early...p.s. Barman even rested my Guinness. Wish the place all the best

    I've given this five stars because the DJ that was on that night was brilliant. I was on soft drinks and don't really like dancing but I danced all night. I have only been here once before, years ago but the atmosphere is much better now. I felt that the last time I was here, everyone seemed very tense as though it was going to kick off any minute. It's more relaxed and friendly now and I would definitely come back.

    Popped in here to watch the world cup. A really welcoming place and was a good venue for watching sport. Only been twice but the second time they said it was nice to see me again so that gave good feels
