Fantastic, large, Holts pub situated at one end of Prestwich. The no 1 choice for Holts Bitter drinkers. There is a a spacious lounge and a cosy snug. There are large screens for watching the sport and regualr live entertainment. To the rear there is a large beer garden.

As per the previous review. Having stopped in here for the last drinks of the night after spending time in several other JHs pubs, we were instantly met with bar staff that were not great. 4 drinks were ordered. 3 given and had to request the 4th to which we was told 'oh yes I forgot' 4th drink served, off to a seat we went. Only to be chased and told you didnt pay for the baileys. Husband went over to make the payment, no argument just pay his way! Only to be charged for the 3 drinks he had already paid for plus the extra. When he realised he went back to the bar to show proof of payment. Only to be confronted and told he was lying. So I went up to try show and explain what had happened. The lady on the bar proceeded to snatch my phone then push me twice when I tried to take the phone back. She then realised the mistake and called my husband back to get the refund initiated. Again while being confrontational. And today we find she took payment AGAIN! Be careful paying for your drinks here. Very naughty tricks to make some extra money clearly. Now waiting for JHs to arrange a refund as I won't be stepping foot back again. Shame as we've been to this pub many times and always enjoyed ourselves. Receipt says served by Nicky... so thanks Nicky for your terrible attitude and service.

My family and I visited this pub last night. After my brother and partner ordered a round of drinks at the bar, a woman came over and claimed we hadnβt paid for the Baileys. We had no issue resolving this β my brother went up to pay. However, she then tried to charge us for the entire round again, despite it already being paid for. Even when he showed proof of the transaction, she was extremely rude and made him pay a second time. I went to speak with her after noticing how rude she was, and she told me, βItβs nothing to do with you, you werenβt even here.β Shortly afterwards, we sat back down, only to see the transaction come out again, meaning we had now paid twice for one round of drinks. My sister-in-law then went to explain the situation, and unbelievably, this woman shoved her twice. Thankfully, my sister-in-law didnβt react, but her behaviour was completely unacceptable. Whether sheβs the owner or not, I have never met a more rude, obnoxious person. If you canβt treat paying customers with basic respect, you shouldnβt be working behind a bar. We were later told to tap the card for a refund, but when we checked this morning, the money had been taken again. Absolutely appalling behaviour from this member of staff. Would not recommend.

Stumbled across this place whilst asking through the town. A lady called Nicky was teaching Daniella on the bar and we had a great laugh! The pint was decent, the atmosphere was welcoming and it was a generally jolly good visit!

Who needs choice when youβve got well kept Holtβs Bitter like this? Fantastic wet led pub with friendly, efficient bar staff. A pleasure to drink here.

It's a pub, they sell beer. No food here, but they let us bring food in from the kebab shop nearby.

Nice pub, a lot of space out the back which I can imagine is beautiful to sit in during the summer. Drinks are nice and cheap. The bar staff and the locals are very friendly. Nice little area of the world if you're local or happen to be passing by.

Prob got 4 stars because 1st trip here to watch final city and we win the premier league, brought kids here and football banter was at mild tone of language, good crowd if you have kids who want to watch football, although it didn't hit 5 stars as my coke cola tasted like cola on a budget and that's important to me to have proper coke or even Pepsi, dont have a clue what it was but it was disgusting
