    Beer is OK but not particularly cosy or enticing. Basically, it lacks atmosphere. It's very noisy when busy too. Probably needs some softer decorations, curtains, and perhaps carpets.

    Spent a weekend in Whaley Bridge and this was easily the most unwelcoming of its pubs. Barman described us as "one of those people" because we ordered an ale, and someone else then asked us if our bus had broken down. Pint was ok and nice beer garden at the back but wouldn't go back.

    To be quite frank, my experience here was absolutely BONKERS! Although the owner is a local legend, I just cannot phathm the BIZZARE EXPERINCE that I encountered at THIS pub! My SPAGHETTI HOOPS were extraordinarily arranged in an artistic ring like pattern! I cannot stop thinking about this and have no reasonable explination for it. CRAZY!!!!

    Tremendous pub! When I called they had just lit the fire, plenty of seating and clearly trying to cater and assist walkers and cyclists ( providing locks) as well as the local community. Three cask beers the one tried from Huddersfield superb! Watch the opening times as like most semi rural pubs struggling for custom during the week & understandably unrealistic to stay open. However support!! this pub its welcoming offers a great choice of drinks & needs the trade.
