   As far as a spoons goes it's good. Service is great (actually far & away the best service you will get in a spoons), the food is spoons food (not at all good but exactly what you pay for) & the atmosphere is the upper end of spoons (not the atmosphere of a real pub but you're paying half the price so expect half the atmosphere & you'll find it to be as expected). Very few plus sockets so if you need to charge anything get in quick or take a multi tap extension cable

   Last night my fish and chips was cooked to perfection but there wasn't enough fish. The batter was lovely and crispy throughout but I was still hungry afterwards. I couldn't really afford another one else I would have bought one. They have stopped asking if 'everything is/was OK?' so I didn't tell them the fish was too small. I ordered the normal size one, not the small size one. I have ordered the small size one before and it's tiny.

   Decent Wetherspoons with the usual mix of cheap drinks, pub classics, and quick service. The old billiard hall interior is spacious and has character, though parts of it feel tired and in need of a refresh. Gets busy in the evenings and on match days, but staff manage it well. Good for a budget pint or casual meal, but not somewhere you’d go for atmosphere or comfort. Handy location near the tram stop.

   We went there with a couple of friends after visiting the Chorlton Makers Market. I must say I felt really ashamed of bringing them there. The tables were very dirty, the seats as well lots of stains. I cant believe the place was so dirty after a few month of the lockdown. Why couldn't they use the opportunity to refurbish, to clean ? Also, the decoration is poor, very dark , such a nice and historic building! Could utilise the place better. The food is good though, with good price, but definitely wouldn't go again. Updating: cleaning looks better but still can improve.

   Reasonable spacious Wetherspoons, albeit its open plan means it is noisy. Good selection of ales at low prices because it was a beer festival. Staff very good.

   Popped in to have a quick look inside this beautiful building and found that they had a brilliant array of nice beers on tap including some Belgium and local one's including my favourite chocolate stout and at £1.50 a pint you can't go wrong. Staff are really friendly and attentive.
