We had a lovely Santa family breakfast this morning, this is our second year coming. Emma was very helpful and welcoming. Lee was lovely with the children and funny while we waited for Santa. We had a great time. Thank you see you next year.

Food is always great. Kids play area could be better, and the toilets I donβt know if this is supposed to look like artwork or what but the toilets next to the kids play area are awful. Paint ripped off the walls. A bit of paint wouldnβt cost a tenner to sort it out! Just gives the impression that itβs not well looked after

Great spot for a decent Carvery in Ashton. Was super busy when we arrived, but everyone was friendly and attentive. Decent carvery and plenty options available even with the level of people in the place. Would definitely go back again.

We met friends today for a catch up so I had a small carvery which was sufficient for me. The food was excellent everyone enjoyed it on our table. Emma was fantastic she went above and beyond to help us enjoy being there! I hope she's there next time!

Went there midweek for a carvery and the food was great the first time round but unfortunately the cakes were really dry and my mates cream looked like milk. Went again last night to take my daughter and the roast potatoes+Yorkshire puddings tasted like they were from the day before. The mushrooms with the steak are also bitter because theyβre from a tin. Iβd go back if the food was a bit more consistent.

Server was nice. Food was really bad. Found a full uncooked potato in the mash. The kids mash also had a massive lump in which caused my 2 year old son to gag and not want to eat the rest of his meal. Edit to add from reply: we spoke to the manager who offered to replace the meals. However, my husband had already finished his fish and chips (which he enjoyed) I had eaten around 5% of my carvery (which we had to get the Yorkshire pudding replaced as it was burnt, pigs in blankets were chewy, my mash was dominated by a raw potato and the meat wasn't great and very dry.) He explained to the manager that we'd already eaten so didn't want the meals replacing. To replace the meals would have meant spending another 40 minutes in the restaurant with a 2 year old who was already upset. We also mentioned it to the server after speaking to the manager. We weren't offered any compensation, but to be fair, we didn't ask for the meal to be refunded. We just chalked it up as a bad experience.

Just had a member of staff put the most hideous looking " Hunters Chicken Burger " in front of me. The chicken was breaded but burnt and flat and greasy, with some cheese sauce smeared all over it that looked like it was out of a can. The chips looked like they were out of a bag of oven chips you buy from the supermarket and again, overdone. Onion rings were over done and dry. I didn't even touch it. I just handed it back to a manager and told them to take it away. He asked " What's wrong with it? " Well if you as a manager cannot see the issue then you're in for big problems. Absolutely disgusting! Why is there nobody there monitoring what goes out of the kitchen. I'd be embarrassed if I served that up.

Got diverted off the M60 on Tues due to a big crash. When we spotted your place, we were too tired to continue any further and decided to stop. For the most part the food was lovely, the taste of your mushy peas took me back to my childhood, very tasty. The turkey was surprisingly tasty, usually dry at other places, and I even loved the carrots. We were looking forward to the roast potatoes, they looked nice and crispy, but unfortunately they were fairly difficult to cut, the inside was tasty but outside wasn't crispy, such a shame. The floor in the ladies toilets needs addressing, it was very sticky. Overall we did enjoy our meals, and will visit you again.

From booking in the staff were friendly the manager Leigh made sure we were seated and had everything we needed to start our visit. Our table server was Geoff was pleasant and great with the 5 children giving colouring sheets and crayons to do while we waited for the last guest to arrive. And our carvery chef Mike was so patient with the kids as they decided which meat they wanted . We love going to Ash Tree Farm it's always a pleasure and clean plates too.
