   walked into this pub hoping for a relaxing drink, but from the moment I stepped in, I felt completely unwelcome. The stares I got from both staff and customers were intense and uncomfortable — like I didn’t belong there just because of the color of my skin. It was clear I was being judged and singled out for no reason other than racism. No one greeted me or even acknowledged me properly. The atmosphere was cold and hostile, and I felt unsafe just standing there. I didn’t even stay to order anything ,I left within minutes. This place clearly isn’t welcoming to everyone, and if you’re not white, I wouldn’t recommend going in at all. Disgraceful in this day and age.

   Used to be my local until the current landlady took over, she's always picking and choosing the rules and letting some customers break them while immediately barring others for doing the same, fights and arguments are always happening, and her girlfriend is always causing trouble with customers, also the young dark haired girl who works on the bar is always giving people dirty looks and looking down at them and has a very rude attitude which makes people feel unwelcome. Pub is definitely going down hill. Gave 2 stars because the only decent thing is the DJ on Friday and Saturday nights.

   Used to be my local many years ago. The landlord murdered his wife in the cellar and carried on serving until closing time. The pub got raided a few weeks later for after hours drinking. The place was full of police investigating the murder. Top pub. Good cheap beer - Joe Holts

   Excellent, great couple running the place. Proper traditional English pub, well worth a visit, great atmosphere, friendly staff. We need to visit our traditional pubs more. Use "em or loose "em. Great British Pub. Fabulous place.

   Working on a Job Nearby. Visited for a Couple of pints on Monday afternoon. Very friendly Bar Staff & funny Mancunian Characters. The Bitter was 9 out of 10 and very reasonably priced . They take cash payments . I will visit again because the atmosphere was very walm and welcoming with no fake people .
