The staff are some of the rudest people I have ever met. The woman with the long black hair behind the bar was being short with all the customers then started an altercation with my friends. One friend forgot her ID and had booked a taxi to retrieve it when the lady started shouting demanding to leave (it was 5pm so even if underage she was not obliged to leave), when our friend responded saying she was on her way out the lady started swearing and shouting at her and our whole group saying she wouldn’t serve us and we should get out. Our friend left for her taxi and the rest of us went and sat feeling shocked, regretting being there already - a few minutes later a friend overheard her telling the other bar staff to come and kick us out on suspicion of β€œwearing tracksuit trousers”. The worst pub experience I’ve ever had

Nasty staff behind the bar started shouting and swearing at me for forgetting my ID - I literally had a taxi booked to leave and she started yelling at me to β€žget outβ€œ with no provocation. It was raining outside so I was just waiting for my taxi - I wasn’t even trying to get served. It was also 5pm so even if I was underage (Iβ€˜m 21) I would have been able to stay in the venue I just wouldn’t have been able to drink. Her reaction was completely unwarranted. Long black hair. I left to get my ID and she threw out all my friends who had their ID with them because they were wearing β€žjoggersβ€œ?

Lady with long black hair behind the bar was extremely rude to me and my girlfriend after she forgot her ID and we were on the way out. Following us swearing and shouting saying she can’t serve us and kicking out our friends (who were bewildered). We didn’t mind leaving to get the ID and were making plans via a taxi as we went. Overall a very confusing and uncomfortable experience !

Great place to have a few drinks on the way down to the Apollo. Nice vibe, not too crowded for a Friday evening but we were early. Drink prices good. Staff very friendly. Would visit again, not just cos I love Fireball.

I was deeply saddened by my experience tonight. I unfortunately did not even get the chance to enter the venue. It stated that I was wearing inappropriate clothing when in fact this was not the case. I was wearing straight fitted linen trousers and they thought it was track pants. I guess that is life, but my friends and I planned our night around this but we ended up finding somewhere better. Thirsty and alone.

Cheap and cheerful not much more you can want, good outdoor seating it's going to be busy in the summer, the punters are on the younger end meaning this is a staple for students

There is a horrible, bitter, uninviting little woman working behind the bar. It was our first time in this pub, we ordered a round, our friend tried to order a round, to which he was told, no !

Great place. Like stepping back to my youth! Same prices as back then too! Only getting 4 stars, as wouldnt/wasn't allowed to turn music up. Literally so quiet, was like listening to it on someone's headphones next to you.

A pub I've been in many times over the last 30 years or so, doesn't change too much, great juke, cool crowd!
