Went in here Saturday before I went in to a club, lovely place really nice friendly staff. Beers amazing, proper from the wood it appears? Ill ask next time I'm in. Background music was t bad either, lots of soul tracks which is my thing and even the other music in between was grown up not cheesey so I was very happy in there.

Not the best Holts pub in the City Centre. It has some very odd booth seating areas where you sit next to your companion rather than across from. Just didn't do it for me I'm afraid. Great pint of Holts though!

Busy at times but there's seating upstairs and an outside balcony with heaters. If you like your Holts's you'll love it in this character laden pub. Bar staff excellent.

A perfect budget option if youβre visiting Manchester, especially if youβre arriving by coach, it's directly across the road from Shudehill station, so the location couldnβt be more convenient. Even though itβs right in the city centre, the rooms were surprisingly quiet. You get the basics, bed, fan, kettle, tea and coffee, soap, which was exactly what I expected for the price, and everything was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, and having a pub downstairs with a rooftop bar was a nice bonus. I didnβt need anything fancy, just somewhere central, affordable, and easy, and this place really delivered. Iβll definitely be staying here again next time Iβm in Manchester.

I stayed here overnight and was pleasantly surprised with the room. It was very suitable for an overnight stay when out during the day. I can't fault it and would stay again. Friendly service, clean room, quiet (even though above a pub), comfortable mattress. I had the best night's sleep I had in weeks!!

It felt weird when we enter because the hotel is located in the upper floor of a pub. Reception is in the pub. We could pay by cash. Really nice and clean room, spacious enough and very nice bathroom with a bathtub. Kettle, instant coffee, tea bag. No fridge. Stove was not powerful enough for me. In the city center, close by the arena and the tram. Supermarkets close by. Little expensive and WiFi is unstable.

29/10/22: back again. Sat upstairs. Photo update! Haven't been in the Lower Turks Head for quite some time, but was pleasantly refreshed and found good service and it's usual fantastic choice of Joseph Holts beers/ales. Probably quite overlooked and definitely understated. Well worth a visit!

One of the best pubs in Manchester, really lovely interior. Great feel to it, staff are always amazing and the beer on offer is great. Nice place to catch up with friends and watch some football.

A great place to sit down and have a drink, staff are very friendly and the bar has a good atmosphere. Additionally since the pub is located close to the bus station, this is a nice place to wait for your bus to arrive.
