   I recently took my family here after a walk round the dam for a roast and a few drinks. It was busy however we were quickly seated and able to get a drink and order our food from the bar (cask ale and a glass of wine. Really nice and reasonably priced). The staff were very competent and very polite. When our food arrived after a short wait we were all really impressed with our roasts and the kids were delighted with their deserts. The pub has a really nice atmosphere with various TV’s fitted around the place showing different sporting events in the background. We’ll definitely be back, thank you for your lovely hospitality.

   Love this place! My local haunt when it comes to pub grub and a calm and casual atmosphere. Its no fuss food and very affordable especially if you opt for the 2 for 1 menu deals. I brought my cousin visiting from overseas recently and he was impressed with the serving size of the fish and chips (could have fed 2 ppl!). The food & plates are always warm, chips crisp on the outside and served promptly. Highly recommended.

   15 of us Went here for a meal the night before my sons wedding. Lovely pub the food was really nice , service was good food was hot and plentiful. Location. In the centre of the village parking at the back right in the canal. Will deffo return

   Wonderful place with outdoor seating which has access to the canal. Good food, good service. You can sit outdoor for a long time. Had a wonderful evening with friends and family at this place. Enjoy the beautiful village and good places chill out the evening. Near to Manchester. 20 minutes drive, parking available. Dogs allowed.

   Stopped here after a walk around the damm. Great fresh food with a lovely real pub feel. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. An outdoor drinking terrace with a view of the canal also.

   Only a quick visit but seems nice. Large outdoor beer garden with views of barges going by. Outdoor heaters and tv. Didn't eat but looks like good menu including kids menu and food smells nice.
