   I'd been in many years ago and it wasn't up to much but we'd heard it'd had a makeover so called in friday with our mates and now its going to be our new local. Loved it. Proper pub, great decor, nice pint, great atmosphere and freindly staff. I'd go as far as to say its the best pub I've been in for a good while. I'm made up that it's stumbling distance from our house. We didn't eat but will do because we've heard it's lovely.

   I called in with my husband for a quick soft drink as he was meeting his Uncle. I then left them to a conversation of football etc. The pub is a beautiful building, original tiles both on the floor and walls. Bar staff really friendly. We stayed inside as it was too hot outside (yes, too hot) but there was a beer green with a tv. We would definitely visit again.

   Great local pub with original tiling and features. Barstaff friendly and helpful when asked about beers. Food menu looks very good so I'll hVe to call in and try it out. Interesting the beer prices here are lower than in another pub run by the same msnagement team.

   Excellent pub, I’ve been drinking regularly in The Alex for over 3 years now, excellent staff and a great pint of Guinness as well as the best pub game facilities in the area (Darts, Pool, Cards etc). A great boozer

   Great pub with friendly staff. Fantastic food - burgers, hotdogs and sides. Dine in or take out. Very big beer garden, lots of different rooms inside, two pool tables, darts, tvs showing football. Plenty of character, a cosy pub with lots of rooms and original features like mosaic floors. Can't fault it, brilliant and welcoming place.

   Lovely old decore inside . Different rooms to sit in with old fire places . Was cold when I was here yesterday but would like to come back when the fires on . Nice friendly service . Good social distancing measures in place x
