First experience with delivering my order in store. Item confirmed dispatched a day after purchased and a week passed no further email received. It clearly stated that order will be in store no later than 4 days from the day order is placed. I phoned customer support the weekends after and was advised that it has been delivered 4 days ago and theyβve not scanned it and just stored it. I went in store to collect it and they just told me item is not there. How can she finds it if theyβve not even scanned it in the system? I had to tell them that the customer support told me that it has been delivered few days ago and they have not done what they should do for all orders arrive in store for collection. That causes delay for customers to collect their orders as they donβt receive notification to say their orders have arrived. They only looked for the item again after what I said and they found it. Very poor customer service.

Iβm a full time student therefore have to carry a backpack for all my books. Straight away i got the feeling the older woman thought i was stealing when i first walked in. When i went to exit the store as i couldnβt find what i needed, loads of the staff were waiting by the exit as if waiting for my bag to set off the alarm. It didnβt obviously as i was not thieving and i doubt anyone would with the state of the ugly clothes in that place, River Island has definitely downgraded since being bought out.

Rude, Racist Asian Store manager. She asked my wife for my card details which I gave over the phone for a refund and then once I arrived at the store after being told be several team members that they would organise a refund the Manager an elderly Asian lady who struggled to speak clear English ( I am Asian myself). Started shouting at my wife and refused to give a refund. Keeping both the shoes and my personal bank details I will be taking this further.

Arrived at 6.55pm to br told they close at 7pm. I just had one parcel to pick up. The woman on the door wouldn't let me in. Went back to my car and watched another lady walk straight in and not be turned away! One rule for one and one for another! It would have taken 2 minutes to pick it up if that!

Didn't catch her name but the Asian lady upstairs in the men's department was totally amazing, customer service was just on point. Made us feel welcome and happy. Had a laugh while shopping and will definitely return to this store.

Rude! Not a great look when you walk in and the sales assistant is rolling her eyes at the customers, huffing and puffing and pointing at her watch to her colleague as customers are walking in some 20 minutes before closing time. River Island - During these testing times may be worth investing in the right staffβ¦

River Island is great quality and a great variety. I think the spring collection this year is a little off, and has sickly colours which reminds me of a Caribbean or African American type of fashion from the 80's. But there's usually something decent for everyone.
