   Purchased a complete ford focus ltr ecoboos engine complete with everything including the turbo with 14k miles they talked me out of the recon engine as as the recon does not come with turbo. I paid when i recieved the invoice be careful they want a bank transfer not a card payment cause like me then you cant get your money back unless you go to court. (anyway) Then the problems started before it even arrived, they would not send me tracking number for a week yet confirmed they had sent the complete engine with everything i have paid for. Although i was told would be 2-3 working days. Just a bare engine arrived with the coolant guide veins in the head cracked i sent them a picture and spoke to them and was called a liar and said they would never send me something like that. by now i was furious. I have the invoice and all images of proof, including the new head and the bad one. i had to buy the fuel pump and turbo that were not on the engine, did a full strip down and found the bottom oil pump had also failed. i was offered nothing to resolve this and the would no longer communicate. i am a mechanic BE WARNED an engine out of skip is what i belived they sent me i was charged £1175 for a broken engine with loads missing cost me about another £1000 -£1500 to out it right. a recon one is the same price but bare bones, again i have all the proof update 21/10/2023 Had still used the bottom end of the engine in the rebuild (shouldnt have trusted anything that came from auto spares direct) and now i have to replace that as the big ends have now gone after a couple of months. truly the worst experiance with a company i have ever had, Still wont answer the phone to me. still not contacted me or offered anything in the type of a refund for there scam.

   I was looking for a gearbox my Ford Transit 100T350 Mk7 2010 Which had an unique gearbox, as there were plenty available but the wrong type, part number. Even reconditioned I only found one firm who had one but wanted my original gearbox in exchange. PROBLEM as I am in Spain, Lee contacted me after my search to say that he had one available and would supply with 3 months warranty he confirmed the part number and was prepared to ship to Spain but it was expensive. I arranged for a couriers from Spain to pick it up. Lee couldn't be more helpful and kept the gearbox which was collected and delivered to the Ford garage in southern Spain where it was fitted and it runs like a Swiss Watch. Big thank you to Lee, good service good price good communication, fully recommend

   Submitted a request through a website to find a new gearbox for my van. Lee contacted me pretty quickly. i confirmed all the details were correct and asked a few questions, which were answered. I felt a bit pressured to pay fast , and looking back, i should have trusted my gut and stopped there, but i was in a muddle and needed my van sorted. The new gearbox turned up as guaranteed. Sadly, my mechanic advised me that after fitting that second and third gear didnt work properly. Contacted Lee, he said it was the cables, not the box, but did also offer to send another box. The replacement box was sent late, and i had to keep chasing for it. The delay caused my mechanic to lose money and me to lose a day at work. Lee lied about the late delivery blaming the pallet company. I called them, and they confirmed it was Auto spares fault. I asked Lee to pay for a faster delivery, to which i was told "yes if you split the cost with me!" It was not great service at all when it was his error! I do now have a working gearbox, so ultimately, i did get what i paid for. However, i have had to pay a mechanic twice, lost a day at work, and had to chase all the way. I would never use this company again and would advise others to do the same.

   Bought a ad20dht engine on 81k miles for my Vauxhall Astra 2.0cdti communications were very quick and helpful and delivery was very prompt. Engine is in great working order recently done a 750 mile round trip and had no issues what so ever.

   Bought a gearbox, didn’t fit & asked for it to be returned & refunded. Now on 2 months since got it waited in countless days for said courier never to appear. Yes been in contact & they have answered but feel as if getting run around. So now sold it on at a loss. Would have been happy to use this company again but not after this.

   This is my second review I've written. Last one they rang me within ten minutes to correct my problem and asked me to take down the review which I did. Now everyone definitely needs to stay clear of this business, I'm £225 out of pocket with a completely wrong gearbox that I've been promised and promised they will exchange for me but to no luck whatsoever. After reading all the reviews I know its them and not a problem with courier. Martin rang me last Thursday to say I will have my gearbox by Monday latest, now gunny enough I have tried to ring ALL week with no answer whatsoever now. Full of empty promises and I will most definitely be reporting to trading standards, I'm out of pocket for a gearbox that was only worth £80 anyway that i can't use. I'm out of pocket with the garage fees to have the car there while waiting supposedly for the exchange gearbox that never came. Absolutely fuming with this so called company now. 8 weeks of waiting on nothing at all. 3 months warranty for absolutely nothing!!

   I wanted to purchase a secondhand manual gearbox for my 2013 Vauxhall Astra. Lee called me to say he had one for £225 and could be delivered the next day. He even stated the VIN, Chassis, etc numbers for my vehicle hence I presumed I would get the correct gearbox. However, this is not the case, the teeth on the shaft of the supplied gearbox differ from the original hence Lee has sent me the wrong gearbox. Now all attempts to call Lee are failing and it’s obvious he’s blocked my phone number. He also won’t answer my emails. It’s clear that this business is set up to scam customers who are relying on the integrity of the business owners. I’m still hoping this issue will be sorted out but in the meantime I am left without a car. 04/09/2022 - Martin and Lee sent me a correct gearbox shortly after my initial review. They sent me photos of the replacement gearbox before it was delivered for my mechanic to check. My car is back on the road and driving as good as new. I am revising my review to 5 stars. ( Martin/Lee - please arrange to collect the incorrect gearbox from my mechanic)
