Unfortunately the food has gone down in recent months, from being excellent, full of flavour to bland, tasteless. Without sounding harsh the first times I went the chefs were older gentleman, recently it seems the young daughters are now doing the cooking (certainly on the weekday nights I used) this has coincided with an incredible dip in the food
Honestly the curry beef was so good ,salt and pepper chips fantastic,excellent! I will be returning
Don’t know what all the good reviews are about I had chicken fried rice, chips and barbecue sauce and was very disappointed. The barbecue sauce did not taste like barbecue sauce and had a very strong smell. The chicken fried rice had no chicken, was flavourless and had many clumps in. The chips were rubbish and not like chippy chips.
I never write reviews but I had to on this occasion. As they deserve it! We have lived in Gaston over a year and been finding it difficult to find a decent Chinese in Gaston and we have finally found one! Lucky House is so fresh tasty and honest on delivery times. Delivery driver is very friendly too. Thank you! Our favourite takeaway.
Ordered a takeaway on New Year's Day for 15 people, food was ready within half an hour and all orders were correct. The meals were lovely so highly recommend this takeaway
Very busy and noisy, but clean and efficient. Good appetisers though avoid the onion rings, very greasy. Beancurd is so-so, and limited tofu options on the menu but they were happy to prepare tofu with different sauces on request.
Dreadful take away! I ordered 'beef with mushroom in blackbean sauce' ..so no green pepper, and i also requested no onions. When i got home two miles away...i found that they had give me 'beef green pepper and no mushrooms. The dish was packed mainly with green peppers and carrots. Furthermore, the chips that came with it were frozen...definately not fresh. tasted awful. So, too late and angry to pop back... i phoned them up and told them. They do delivery but said i'd have to GO BACK to them to rectify.... No way!! Many other Take Aways near there...i recommend you use them!
Our new favourite Chinese. Staff are lovely and gave us free prawn crackers even though we only had a few items on our first try. Just tried the Spare Ribs with honey, delicious and was enjoyed by both myself and my other half Janeine, and we normally don't agree on anything. I would say the spring rolls are one of their best items; extremely tasty and quite juicy. Can't wait to start trying the different dishes and get a full dinner next time.
