   Definitely not the same feel as the Porters in York. They did not want a review as they have their own social media platform. Disappointed that the one item I did ask for I was directed to a different store.

   Visited the York store on Saturday, bought a great Carhartt T and served by Chris who I guess owns the business. Very pleasant service, well chosen range and shows “bricks & mortar” works much better than online. Go ahead, support independents.

   Nice friendly staff, both gents and ladies' clothing over 2 floors. The Mens wear is situated on the ground floor. Ladies on the first floor. A Small selection of ladies compared to the Men's department, which had a very good selection of designer wear. Hopefully, the ladies may have a few more brands to choose later in the season, but it is only February, I know it is early in the season so hopefully later in the year the ladies may have a bigger selection. But worth a visit there were some nice pieces but nothing that took my fancy.

   My first visit to porters as I don't often spend money on myself. I have 3 girls so my money often goes on them. I had no idea what to wear for a wedding coming up this weekend. The gentleman in the shop picked out a full outfit for me and I look fantastic. He knew all my sizes by just looking at me. The whole experience was brilliant I will definitely return here. Great shop and a fantastic shopping experience

   This used to be a great shop with a good range of brands. You could browse and find a number of items of interest. Now it seems to have turned into a Belstaff store. A good half, maybe more, of the sales floor is dominated by Belstaff. Personally, I don’t like this brand at all so the browsing experience is now severely limited. It’s a weird decision and seems very strange to place the vast majority of your eggs in one (not very good) basket. Very disappointing.

   My First visit to Porters after recommendation, I was pleasantly surprised how well I was understood for my fashion sense and helped to put together a outfit for a meal out that evening. The store assistant went out of his way to offer me the garments streamed so that they didn’t need ironing. I’m happy with the service and I will be returning with more time on my next visit Thank you to all the staff at Porters 10/10

   I cannot express how much Claire helped me today. I've gained weight over the last couple of years and haven't felt happy with any of my clothes and really struggled to find anything that made me feel good about myself. 2 pairs of trousers and 1 blazer later (none of which I would have picked out myself) and I feel so much better about myself and what I want to wear. She was so kind and patient with me. It's means a lot and I consider myself a customer for life now. Thank you Claire.
