    Would have given 5stars, my second visit to V/F due to China City on holiday, this time had my food delivered, asked for order cost, told £23+pence, on delivery asked for £27+pence, suggest V/F include delivery costs as the total end costs, also wife said no mushrooms in her order (after she ate it, silly billy), all considered to date the food is 100% as to cooking/amount in orders, and cost is very reasonable as to many other Chinese, so V/F just ensure you get the orders correct/quote the delivery cost in final costing of order

    Rough fish and chips. The peas taste out of date, the fish is disgraceful - worst I’ve had in Wirral. Really disgusting. Chips decent though . Avoid for a Fish and Chips. May be ok for Kebabs/Chinese

    What's happened to the quality??? We've been coming here for years, I've noticed over the last 2/3 meals that it's changed. The chips which used to be excellent are now very poor. We've had all sorts of food from here and it's all now not worth the money. Looks like prices have increased recently too and most of the staff have changed. Really a massive shame, this used to be a reliable, great chippy. Not any more.

    Awful food ordered a couple Chinese dishes and won’t be going back the kebab is like a rock and we’ve been given all the leftover waste bits at the end of the kebab it is the worst experience ever in terms of kebab. Would not recommend to anyone.

    We’ve been to The Village Fryer numerous times as they provide a gluten free menu. The most recent occasion the dishes were kept on the counter top for 15 minutes (and not in the heated cabinet) while they waited for the chips - and by the time we got home and opened it the dish had congealed. Having paid £32 for inedible food, I won’t be going back!

    Chips were like boiled potatoes, chicken chow mein was requested with no mushrooms and had mushrooms which ruined the meal for my partner, Ordered a pepperoni pizza that was brutal, dough was stale, and the pizza sauce was tomato puree with a mound of badly melted cheese that was covering the pepperoni it tasted pretty terrible and looked awful. Spent 33 quid and barely ate the food. Normally alright here to be fair but was really bad tonight

    In my opinion this is possibly the best chip shop on the wirral. Order your food as you go in and it is cooked/warmed while you wait. There is Chinese food, kebabs, burgers and a pizzeria as well so most tastes are catered for. As testament to the food it is always busy. Good value for money as well.

    Ordered salt and pepper chips and there’s was literally 2 shreds of pepper and that’s it, basically just chips. To top it all off I found a HUGE piece of plastic in it! BEST TO STEAR CLEAR!

    Disgusting... Was a loyal customer for many years until today. Very, very greasy chips that where hard. The fish was dried up and again too greasy. What a shame. Never again
