I visited the Fargate H&M store with 2 young children on Friday 27th December between 1600pm-1645pm. I brought a lot of items on the 3rd floor (childrenβs) worth over Β£100 in the sale. The till was open but the sales assistant Olivia told me it was closed and to go down to the tills on the ground floor. There were no baskets and holding all these items and going in the lift potentially setting off the tag alarms or holding my 2 childrens hands on an escalator with many clothing items in hand were options I was not happy with. So I asked Olivia if she could please get me a basket from the floor below so that I could take these down. Olivia dissappeared off, I could see her standing around for a few minutes in the floor below. After 10 minutes of waiting and no sign of her return, I had no choice but to grab all 20 odd items of clothes and get in the lift. I saw Olivia again on the ground floor, no basket in sight. Clearly surprised when I caught her with no intention to help me and no apology for leaving me upstairs waiting for 10 minutes while she pretended to be doing something downstairs. She was just so unhelpful, and workshy with absolutely no initiative to help when she could see a customer needing assistance. It is shop assistants like her that will make online shopping the only way to buy clothes and close down the high street due to reduced footfall. A discussion with her might be all that is needed and some baskets on every floor.

It's always a great service there, and whatever you buy online, what's shown on a photo, it's exactly what you get. Good quality with reasonable price. Beautiful coffee cups with saucers are amazing and competitive prices.

I have shopped at this store ever since Iβve moved for university, never had a problem up until recently, there is a rude woman who works there who is of black descent who is extremely unprofessional, rude and uppity. I am a woman of colour myself and I have never been made to feel so embarrassed everytime I come to the store she looks through her glasses as if Iβm a shop lifter, absolutely disgusting. Having worked in customer service myself for 11 years I have never come across a person with her appalling attitude. She has done this far too many times infront of my friends, and even a family member who actually pointed her attitude out to me. If you donβt like customers donβt work in customer service. I will now be shopping strictly at the moor store.

Rude staff member with black, short curly hair whom wears glasses canβt stop herself from glaring at customers. Really off putting, if you hate your job quit.

Good quality items when you can find the right size. Not much variety in the toddler section it's all a bit hugely piggldy. There are so much lovely things online i wish they had more in store. I had to go round the store 3 times because some of the toddler sizes were in a different place to the toddler section and i keot missing things. I think all sizes up until 36 months should be in one place. Then 3+ should be else where.

TAKE YOUR BUSINESS TO TK MAXX INSTEAD. I am an international exchange student and just arrived and came here today to fill my wardrobe as I couldn't bring much on the plane. I plan to stop by here after eating a bite, I pass it on my way to the restaurant and it looks empty so I go to make sure it is open, peek at the door and see workers inside - so yes it is open, continue to go eat and then I come back to shop. I am rudely approached by not one but four workers and told I need to leave immediately, I am not allowed inside as I have been profiled as a shoplifter. HA?! I have never stolen a thing in my life. The energy they approached me with was that I WAS a criminal and needed to leave now. I was very confused so we went back and forth with me asking.. really?!?! To which I was met with stern and rude "yes, leave now, you've been profiled as a shoplifter." In front of other customers too, how humiliating. I was made to feel like a criminal when I've done NOTHING!!!!! What a nice way of being introduced to the country. Apparently peeking in the door and walking away to eat means you won't be allowed to come in. I seriously had not the chance to look at any items before they insisted I leave which I didn't, can't make me leave for doing NOTHING wrong, had a fun game of cat and mouse though which I very much enjoyed ;) I was planning to make this my preferred place to shop as it is close to my dorm but I promise I will never return to or purchase from a place with such hateful employees. Absolutely disgusted. Anyways, I took myself a few blocks down to the TK Maxx and BOUGHT much higher quality name brand stuff instead. :)
