DO NOT GO HERE! My delivery was taking over an hour longer than the ETA so I rang to request an update as per Uber Eats instructions as I could not track or message the driver. They were extremely rude and the customer service was atrocious and he put the phone down on me after yelling at me.
HORRENDOUS! AVOID! We have been loyal customers to this restaurant! Never again! We ordered the vegetarian satay chicken skewers which are pricey at £9.50 for 4! They came with no sauce so dry fake chicken. I contacted Just Eat and was given a refund of £7.50! Wheres the other £2. I called the restaurant for help and they were extremely rude. Telling me to call Just Eat, I tried explaining. There was no apology for what was THEIR error! They refused to listen to what I was saying and hung up on me. If you want all your items and good care and customer service if mistakes happen, I would avoid. Food is overpriced for its extremely average level.
I order from golden city today before 7pm expected 25 minuts to be delivered , one hour pass and the order did,t arrive call the restaurant 2 times and the worker keep shouting at me , didn't let me explain and just said to call the just eat cuz they recived the order and cook and send it so there is nothing they can do!! I tried to explain that in the app they keep sayibg the driver is in restaurant waiting for my order and he jus keep shouting and saying they send it , and to contact just eat and hung up on my face 2 times ! So is a waste of time calling again as is very rude people and don't even listen what we have to say , just hung up on our face ! When we can't do anything as the order in the app still saying is been prepare ... after this episode i will not order anymore from there is the first time i call a place asking for my order abd they don't help and even say is not they problem !!
We ordered on Just Eat and loved it! The food arrived on time, piping hot and absolutely delicious.
Honestly not sure what the other reviews here were on about, ordered through Deliveroo so didn't see the negative Google reviews but the ones on Deliveroo seemed good enough that we gave it a shot. Ordered the meal for 3 people which is listed as 39.50, but the app discounts brought it down to 30. The food portions were large and delicious. Individual reviews for each dish that came with the meal - Chow Mein - Hearty and flavorful with plenty of meat mixed in unlike a lot of other takeouts that have mostly veggies with the noodles Sweet and sour chicken - Not sickeningly sweet like some places but a well made sauce with batter fried coated chicken Beef in black sauce - was listed as spicy but was pleasantly savory with just a small kick, the beef itself was tender King prawn with mushrooms - Pretty good, nothing unique but nothing shabby, quite a few prawn pieces too Mixed Vegetables - Again, as good as you can get from a takeout Egg fried rice - Solid with a good amount of egg, not overly dry but not sloppy or greasy Crispy duck - tender but crispy not dry, the hoisin sauce was incredible and the pancakes and spring vegetables were a welcome addition Prawn crackers - can never have too many of these and they delivered, a massive bag full! All of this, and for 30 quid (obviously with the app discounts but 40 is still a solid deal for three people, this could feed four and still have leftovers) Can't vouch for other dishes on the menu obviously but this is what I had and my stomach was perfectly fine in the days after lmao, would order again for sure
The delivery was very quick and the food didn’t taste too bad but I have horrific food poisoning and nearly passed out. Not ordering from here ever again
Been using this takeaway for years and it’s been great but it’s gone downhill recently, placed an order tonight, not all of it turned up as it was sweet and sour balls, called them and the guy was so rude, told me I’d said a small order when I didn’t and told me to count the balls again! He is awful and the food wasn’t great to be honest , he did send the missing food out but that’s not the point Will be reporting to the council as I’ve concerns over their hygenie
Have been a loyal customer for many years. Ordered food at 5pm, did not come until 7pm. When I called to see where order was so many excuses. When I said I will not be ordering again was told NO PROBLEM!!! With cost of living increasing this is a great wayto treat customers
2 hours to get food delivered. After the first hour they called to say they're sorry and someone is delivering. Food didn't arrive until an hour later even though theyre based roughly 20 minutes only for the driver to laugh at us and call us a liar on the situation. Shame because their food is generally pretty good but the service keeps digging.
In the last month or so it has gone from being a really good Chinese takeaway to a really bad 1. They barely fill the containers & if you order chow mein or fried rice with meat there is barely any meat inside. I don't know if it's new management or new chefs, but whatever has happened has ruined it. I've been a regular customer for a long time, but I'll be going elsewhere from now on. Really disappointing so see such a good takeaway go so bad...
