I love Peng An Chinese takeaway the lady who serves is so friendly and it's so close to me. The food is great, love the food and generous portion sizes. Need to try more of their dishes! It's very clean too.
I’m knew in the area and I’m so lucky I live at the next door, in the best Chinese takeaway I ever had. Is a clean and tidy shop, the food very tasty, and the staff very friendly. I just love it 10 out of 10 *****
First time trying this Chinese takeaway and really enjoyed it. The lady taking order was super friendly. Food was great. The shrimp special rice was delicious. The place was busy, definitely a good sign. Will visit again!
Sadly, the prices have risen & the food taste has fallen. Since the reopening after the pandemic, the main chef, who was an elderly lady, was retired after health concerns. The food has not been the same and the long queues of customers have vanished also. This often happens at local takeaways with the changing of the guard because the good cooks hold on to their secrets, and the incoming chef is starting from Scratch.
Been eating here for years and always happy with taste, however, my last visit was disappointing. Taste not as good as it used to be.
The people who reviewed this to be honest obviously have a cheap takeaway palate and have no idea what is good food. This takeaway is average at best . Take my word from someone who knows not the nonsense written above
Have been using Peng An for decades. The food is great and cheap. The only reason I have given 4 stars is that since they reopened they've changed their opening hours and have taken my favourite dish ( mixed starters for 2 ) off the menu
We buy from these guys all the time and pretty much order the same dishes every time with extra chili as we like spicy food. We are mostly happy with what we get but occasionally they massively overdo it with the chili making the food almost inedible. Trust me, I like spicy food, and most of the time they get it bang on, but consistency is key and they need to make sure they get it right every time.
The worst chinese I have ever had! The chicken tasted and smelled stale, the special fried rice was dark and sticky, to be honest I only tried it out due to their 20% off deal so I guess you get what you pay for. I would NOT recommend this spend a little more for better quality.
