Food: It's good Hong Kong styled food with a wide menu range which was something that I was happy with. There is a lot of different dishes that they can make and having survived for so long, you can see why. Service: It's very typical Asian restaurant Asian service. Quick and to the point which I find nothing wrong with and when asking for things, they do give it to us so it's not an issue. Especially as it is an 'eat and get out' type of restaurant. Atmosphere: a bit quiet but for a dine and leave restaurant it's fine.

Reasonable price for quality food. Roast duck noodle is our favourite. It's a shame there's no vegetable leaves in the soup anymore, you get a decent amount of meat only.

I’ve been here multiple times and I have to say that I’ve always enjoyed coming back here each time. The food is really good, and meats are really tender and enjoyable. There is also a wide variety of choices for people who choose from which is enjoyable with a larger group of people. They also offer jasmine tea for free when sat down at the table, which is quite nice as well. Staff are quite nice as well, I can’t say I’ve had a bad experience with any person who has worked there. Tables and bathrooms are clean as well.

This place serves delicious, large portions of food! I had the chicken curry and we shared rice between two of us! The prices were a little higher and CAN ONLY PAY CASH! We had a great dining time although it wasn’t the cleanest or nicest interior but the food is the sole reason to dine here!

Haven't been to Wong Kei for many years and the food was as good I remember although the waiters are no longer as hilariously abrupt (or even rude) as previously...I almost miss it. Anyway, we had a chicken sweetcorn soup, sweet and sour chicken with rice and if memory serves, beef in oyster sauce on rice. All dishes were very well cooked, delicious and arrived promptly. Although prices have increased since my last visit I did not feel hard done by and they were reasonable considering the portion size. The only thing missing was the entertaining rudeness of the waiters who seem to have moved up market probably losing some of the WK uniqueness in the process. But most people would probably prefer less abrupt serving staff. I can wholeheartedly recommend based on quality of the food, it's taste and the price. Decor is a little bland although this time we were seated downstairs. Free pots of green tea are always served and if you wish for another pot, just lift the lid and it will be swiftly replenished. Overall, highly recommended.

Excellent as always. One of the few places in Soho that you can arrive with a large group 10+ people (without booking) and not have to queue to get a table. Ignore the decor, the food is freshly cooked to order and authentic. Important to note that it's CASH ONLY!

Was once famous for its bad service but now changed. Waiters are polite and patient. Decor is still in its 80s and comfortable. Went in around 9pm after a day of pub crawling with friends. Cheap and filling dishes. Average £9 a dish. Fast and efficient service. Not your 5 star but good enough. Great atmosphere with locals and tourists. Cash only

The mixed reviews sort of make sense but we loved it. Don’t go in there expecting super attentive service or gourmet food but you get an authentic experience - loads of great dishes, pretty good prices, and a bustling vibe. Definitely will be back! Cash only though
