It was so good that I forgot to take pictures constantly. Would definitely recommend going - they said they are closing the branch from December but moving to Oxford Circus which makes my life even easier. Will defo pop back The only downside is portion is fairly small by Uyghur restaurant standard - my other favourite Stag City serves way bigger portion but slightly out of town.

Highly recommend the beef and fungus stir fry noodle which was full of flavours. We ordered the lamb with naan dish as well. The lamb was tender. The naan got quite soggy if you don’t eat fast enough and the dish was very filling. We prefer the sauce in the noodle dish and found the lamb dish a bit on the blend side. Overall, it’s a good place to go for Uyghur cuisine.

I visited Karamay Restaurant a couple of weeks ago, and it was a delightful surprise, absolutely worth every single dish I tried. We ordered the lamb chops, volcano rice noodles, lamb skewers, and the spicy noodles, sharing them so everyone could enjoy each dish. Every item was delicious, and I am definitely looking forward to coming back soon. The service from the staff was impeccable; they paid attention to every detail and were incredibly welcoming. Thank you for everything!

We went there for a Sunday lunch. You can book the table by using their app but the deposit is required £10 per person. They literally will charge you on the day you book. I really don't like that. Only few michellin star restaurants charge you. Most of them just require a credit card for holding the reservation. Apparently we are the only customers there by the time we arrived. The food is authentic. One of the server was quite friendly but the other one was just so cold. We ordered a lot of food. Most of them are quite good.

The overall experience was quite nice, our dining was facilitated by friendly staff and efficient services. The foods are all tasty, well prepared and well decorated Though it’s a bit pity that most of the must-try were not available for some reasons, and that seems to remain for a while. We didn’t get to try the famous rice cooked in bamboo tube, grilled chicken gizzard, murger and the traditional ice cream The restaurant is located on the second floor of a building in a quiet ally, quite enjoyed the space within it. However it’s also noisy due to the short distance with other tables

Wonderful to be greeted in Mandarin first, English second. The servers are kind and knowledgeable, expect East Asian service so don't feel shy calling them over - that's normal for the culture. Stew dishes are massive my order was enough for 5 people! One dish between two is more than enough. If you want to try something authentic, this is the place!

Absolutely amazing food! I’ve been looking for authentic Uyghur food around LONDON for a while and this is definitely the best! Staff super nice and helpful too! Pre order the lamb! Such a must-try! Also, make sure to make reservations! This place gets booked up fast!

what a colorful display of western china (uyghur) dishes. particularly enjoyed the braised aubergine, the chicken bao, and the hand pulled noodles. service was welcoming. on a Saturday lunchtime, it got busy very quickly, so better call ahead to secure a table

Having lived in China for almost a decade, and been in London for 5 years, I've missed Uyghur cuisine. Needless to say, I'm absolutely delighted to have been introduced to this place by a friend. The portions were generous, and the chicken with "naan" was an off the menu item and a must have. Reservation is a must as its a smaller restaurant and fill up quickly. The owners came out to greet us and they're really lovely too. Will definitely be back for authentic Uyghur cuisine.
