   I visited Happy Garden Chinese for the first time today, even though I have lived in Downer my whole life. I usually go to the Chinese shop next door, which is consistently 5 star, but since they were closed I decided to give Happy Garden a try. I genuinely wish I had not. When I walked in, it took a long time for anyone to even come out and acknowledge me. When the man finally appeared, I greeted him politely with Hello and he did not respond at all. No acknowledgement and no basic customer service. I asked if they take card. He abruptly said no and walked away without any explanation. Confused, I asked if they take bank transfer. Again he said no and by that point he was already disappearing back into the kitchen. I had to call after him asking why he was walking away when I was trying to place an order. He said he thought I only had card. There was no effort to communicate, no effort to understand what I was actually asking and no effort to help. Out of nowhere he then said he did not want to serve me. Completely unprovoked and extremely rude. At that point I did not feel comfortable ordering anything. If this is how they treat customers to their face, I would not risk what happens behind the scenes. Afterwards I checked their rating and saw they only have a 3.7. That alone says a lot and my experience matched it perfectly. If you want good Chinese food and to be treated with basic respect, visit the place next door when they are open. They are miles better. Happy Garden let themselves down massively with the attitude and behaviour I experienced today. I will not return and I would not recommend it to anyone who values decent service.

   The food is average Chinese takeaway food, but the customer service is infamously bad. The man who runs this place needs to work on his manners. I ordered a dish that he said was out, I realised I'd pronounced it wrong and clarified what i meant, he then snapped and raised his voice. Having asked around a few people said this is common. Needless to say I wont be going back! Theres better Chinese close enough to not have to tolerate a person like that.

   Hi I am located just up the road and was refused the delivery. Ordered many times from here, I can see the management has changed. You have just lost customer. Horrible customer service

   Very disappointed ! Chicken fried rice looks anemic , the chicken is not fried. Crispy chilli beef again is not crispy, but soft and squidgy , not nice. Crispy shredded chicken was just a portion of chicken nuggets. Overall all taste not quite right !!! Dinners in the dog tonight !

   Won't deliver food to you if they don't know your area and are very selective of where you live but seeing that we have ordered from here before the owner obviously likes turning away custom
