Having lived in the area for over 20 years and having tried numerous Chinese takeaways Oriental Chef is the best. No MSG slop here, good seasoning - our only Chines takeaway now! Thanks guys!
Very disappointed with this take away, my boyfriend didn't touch his noodles because they were dry and tasteless, mine tasted like it had come out of the frozen, the shop with the most disgusting food
Been using this place for over 10 years but the quality of the food has dropped hugely. I wonder if has new owners or chef? Last night the prawn balls were dripping in oil and also tasted a little off, spring rolls too were so oily.. the sweet n sour veg was just mainly onion in orange coloured sugary water. But the worst for me was the pot of sweet and sour sauce stank of ammonia and made the whole house smell nasty. Think will give it a miss now. Shame, was fresh, light and very tasty before and a treat we very much looked forward to.
Chicken Satay with chips, no veg, no sauce, 6 little chunks of chicken....I knew when they handed me the bag ...it was so light and should have looked what they served me up .... pathetic to say the least, kids portion of chips too. So glad this is not my local

The cucumber was cut nicely - they forgot the plum sauce - the rest of it needed to be wrapped in police tape with a poss investigation - awful never again
It was an ok take away. Definitely not the best Chinese in the area. But it wasn’t bad. I ordered a drink with the meal and when I got home it was not packed in with the take away.
We decided to try this for the very 1st time after reading the reviews , we’re very fussy eaters , this take away looked really clean ,the service was good and the Chinese meal we had was the best Chinese we have had as a family in a long time , it was fresh , cooked to Perfection and pretty reasonable cost wise , we would definitely be returning for future take aways , it has 5 star ratings on the door but we awarded our own 5 stars tonight for the fab meal we had . The chow main and special fried rice was so Light and tasty .
The food is well prepared, the kitchen is clearly visible from the waiting area (I like to see my food being cooked) the waiting area is clean, but needs a few more chairs. It has the FSA 5 stars (scores on the doors) which is reassuring
One of the best Chinese restaurants we ever tried in London. A few days ago, my partner and I ordered from them. At the beginning I was a little bit skeptical about this place, even though my partner has known this place for many years. However when we tasted the food, it was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed every single dish we ordered, specially one with prawns and ginger. Prices were quite reasonable for London standards. We would definitely order again from them. Keep it up guys!
