Such a friendly salon. Courtney worked her magic and managed to blend my natural hair colour with my old box dye. Would highly recommend. Thank you Courtney

I visited Courtney's after having a terrible hair cut elsewhere. She really took her time to assess my hair and agree on the best way forward. She explained everything that she was doing and why she was doing it and I'm so happy with the result. Will definitely be going back.

I have been going to Courtneys since I was a child and I wouldnt trust anybody else with my hair. I am extremely fussy with what I want but Courtney & Jacqui always do an amazing job & i cannot fault them. The salon is always clean & beautiful, the staff are welcoming and always very friendly.

Nice modern salon, looks up to date, but old fashioned techniques.....such as frosting/highlights/streaks. Agree with previous disgruntled post in that highlights shouldn't be done with a swimming cap! This method is torture! The owner is a cheapskate, as the cost is just as much as foils elsewhere! I also found them hit and miss, needing them doing more often than foils. So don't be ripped off. Sunbed was also faulty, with 2 tubes not working, and it's cheaper down the road near Tescos. Not up to date at all. If trying out here just go for wash and blow and look around at clients' hair - More blue rinse, roller sets or weird colours on lots of fat middle/old aged tattoo laden clients.

Used to go here as a student, over 20 years ago when it was based at different premises. I found it to be a friendly place with excellent staff, who put my hair up for my graduation, dyed it in a range of colours from platinum to dark brown safely, and took out my dodgy hair extensions, I'd had done in Tenerife. After coming back to the area after 15 years I decided to revisit on a whim. Oh my god! How things have gone downhill. I did toy with having a few highlights around the front and crown. I asked if foil ones/easy mesh ones could be given only to be told that they only use the cap! This I find unbelievable, it is a hit and miss business and not accurate at all, doesn't get to the roots and hurts like hell. Just thought I'd have my colour intensified from dark brown to burgundy. Okay job, apart from dye being flicked in my eye by the owner Jacqueline, who was too busy turning around talking non stop to someone else waiting. The dye ran out a third of the way through, so off she went to mix some more. I was going to have a cut too but then backed out, as by this stage I'd no confidence in her. The colour was a bit patchy, but was told that it would take a couple of applications to get it right. I couldn't wait to leave. Too much excessive chatter, not enough concentration on doing the job, needs kicking and screaming into the 21st century with techniques. The staff years ago were each good at something, one was good at putting up long hair, another at layered styles and so on. This salon needs a retrain in techniques, particularly colouring. There's plenty of other salons in the Reddish area now besides this one who will do a better job. I ended up going to another better one two weeks later, on the same road as Courtneys, which I felt more at ease. They also said it was patchy in places. #won'tbegoingbacktothiscrapsalon.
