The screen ordering system makes things so easy. The specific branch has a halal section of the menu too which was very nice. I ordered the laksa udon noodles which had very nice flavour and was very filling. The staff are very nice and the atmosphere was also nice.

I had a wonderful experience at Kineya Mugimaru! The food was delicious, but what truly stood out was the outstanding customer service. Special thanks to the two girls named Pooja and Pooja, whose warmth and professionalism made the visit extra memorable. The rest of the staff were equally praiseworthy-friendly, attentive, and dedicated to making guests feel welcome. Highly recommended!

I had a fantastic experience! The food was absolutely great—fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. Ordering was super easy and everything arrived just as expected.

I ordered a tonkotsu udon — the soup was fabulous, but the noodles weren’t really “udon.” They were more like what we call “Shanghai noodles” in Hong Kong. The char siu pork was quite nice, but the chicken fillet was a bit too dry. I really loved the chilli miso, though. Unfortunately, the staff didn’t seem very happy, especially when I asked for a wooden spoon and napkin. Things weren’t placed in obvious spots, which made it confusing for a first-time visitor. Overall, not great service

Super tasty pumpkin katsu yaki soba. The soba had the perfect consistency and the pumpkin katsu were delicious. The portion appeared small at first but one bowl (£11) was sufficient. You can choose from udon, rice, or vegan menu. Plus additional toppings on the udon are available. I would certainty go again. Highly recommend it.

A Japanese specialty restaurant that fails to deliver on multiple fronts, it was a disappointment. The udon I had was almost tasteless, they offered additional toppings but no amount added could fix what came out of the kitchen. Their order system needs a lot of refinement too, self-service ordering is fine but why does that machine not take payment? Afterwards they shout out your order number like you're at McDonald's for collection. That just ruins the experience despite having a smart looking store front.

What could be the worst possible kind of food? Deep-fried food that is cold, stale, and greasy. Exactly what I had at Kineya Mugimaru Ealing Broadway tonight. The design is problematic to begin with as the crowd congregated at the entrance taking too long to order their udons from the flat screens. We had to sit down first to wait for the crowd to clear. We then ordered and picked the deep-fried stuff from the trays. But apparently the kitchen staff could not catch up with the number of orders. By the time we got our udons, we already finished half of our deep-fried dishes. But the deep-fried stuff was disgusting. The trick about deep-fried food is that, it MUST be served hot! Ours was cold, stale, and greasy. The prawn tempura was impossible to eat. The tempura batter was hard, cold, and thick, so terrible that I had to remove it so that I won’t waste the shrimp (which was cold). Maybe it was our bad luck as I did see staff refreshing the deep-fried trays. But whatever it was, the light etc was not enough to at least keep the deep fried stuff warm. The udon noodles had good texture, however, but they were not properly cooked (maybe my bad luck again). There was a band of udons that was not thoroughly cooked and got stuck together. I had to get rid of it. And the soup had a funny after taste. We both got really thirsty afterwards. Our conclusion was that there was too much MSG (I thought MSG didn’t exist any more!). Very disappointed. For the amount of money we spent (£39 for 2), it was not worth it (I cook better udons at home). Won’t be coming back.

Everything is made fresh to order! We had the Kake Udon, Sweet Potato Tempura, and the Pumpkin Katsu and everything was super flavourful. The presentation was great and there was a good selection of extra condiments and toppings to add to your udon. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. One of the best udon restaurants I’ve been too and I’d recommend it to any Udon lover!!
