   Just been into Conways today and I must say the staff were first class and the young guy behind the counter helped me put my timber in the car.Prices always spot on and it’s rare they don’t have what I need.Great having Wicks and screwfix etc. but Conways is always my first choice.

   Got a quote for some wood to build a shed at the trade bit where the bulk is stored ,the chap was helpful and gave me good advice ,it all came to about £400 worth,a week later popped in and asked the two large guys behind the counter at the shop can i order some wood for delivery, before i could reel off my shopping list,i was informed that they dont do delivery, they haven't got a driver and wont have one to January, i dont understand do they not want any business, is it lack of communication or they just cant be arsed , suppose ill have to spend my money some where else.

   I can see why some people might not appreciate the customer service here. But generally I've found that on several projects the staff have been knowledgeable and helpful. The materials are top quality and low price. My wife commented the other day how a member of staff helped her select the right materials for a job, no mention of any problems.

   Conway's have a very good supply of reasonably priced wood & accessorises. Unfortunately I have to agree with the other reviews! They have a very good business & well known in Glossop. What I do not understand is why they are such a miserable bunch of individuals? They really want to get a refund from "Charm School" or get some lessons on Customer services. As specially the "Owner" what a right misery he is. They get one Star & that is for the wood & supply's on sale. Shame this could be a gold mine for the owner? Regrettably they have lost Four stars as their Customer services just let the Whole Business Down.
