I am not one to leave reviews normally but I wanted to give Mack a mention. I needed a new drill and driver because my old ones were starting to break and be unreliable. He talked me through the different kits and knew all the model numbers and specs off by heart. He was very frank and cut straight through the chaff which helped me pick a decent combo for the money. I decided on a dewalt maclaren set with powerstack batteries and they are belters! Absolutely spot on and does everything Mack said they would. Very impressed and recommend!

I have been in numerous times while I have been renovating my house, and during each visit, I have consistently received brilliant service from all of the staff members. Their professionalism, efficiency, and dedication to service have truly made my renovation experience much smoother and more enjoyable. Among the team is Mack, who has been particularly helpful; his expertise in plumbing has proven invaluable. He helped me plan the position of my washing machine and dishwasher in the new kitchen, optimising the layout, and on one occasion was able to identify a critical problem with the installation of my new bath... that the plumber had not noticed. Had it gone unaddressed, it could have led to significant complications down the line, resulting in costly repairs. Thanks to Mack, I was able to rectify the situation before it escalated, saving me both time and money in the long run.

I am deeply disappointed with the service I received at the Screwfix Stockport branch on 13th March and the way my complaint was handled on 14th March. This experience was not only frustrating but also caused me significant distress due to the unprofessional and dismissive behaviour of the staff. On 13th March, I visited the store to have a screw size checked. I was served by a staff member named McCaulay, who informed me that the screw size was 4.8x16 and that the store did not stock it. Throughout the interaction, McCaulay appeared disinterested, leaning on the desk and giving the impression that he could not be bothered to assist me properly. Relying on his advice, I spent considerable time and effort travelling to multiple shops in an attempt to locate the screw, only to later discover that the information he provided was incorrect. The following day, 14th March, I returned to the store to express my concerns about the poor service and the incorrect information I had been given. Upon speaking to the manager, I was shocked when their first response was to justify McCaulayβs mistake by stating that he has a disability. While I sympathise with any individualβs personal challenges, this does not excuse the poor standard of service I received. I made it clear that I was unaware of McCaulayβs disability and that my complaint was solely about the quality of service. I must also highlight that it is entirely inappropriate for the company to disclose a staff memberβs personal circumstances, such as a disability, to customers. This not only breaches confidentiality but also undermines the validity of my complaint by implying that my concerns are less important due to the staff memberβs personal situation. This approach is unprofessional and discriminatory, as it shifts the focus away from addressing the actual issue of poor service. For context, I would like to add that I also have a disability. However, in my own workplace, I am expected to take responsibility for my actions and maintain a professional standard of service at all times. I do not accept special treatment or use my disability as an excuse for poor performance, and I believe the same standard should apply to all employees, including those at Screwfix. To my further dismay, the situation escalated when other customers in the store began verbally attacking me. When I confronted these individuals, I was accused by staff of attacking other customers. This was completely untrue and an unfair misrepresentation of the situation. No apology was offered for the poor service, the incorrect information, or the way I was treated by both staff and customers. Instead, I was made to feel unwelcome and disrespected. What compounded my distress was the complete lack of seriousness with which my complaint was handled. No notes were taken, no apology was offered, and no attempt was made to address my concerns or resolve the situation. This dismissive attitude only added to my frustration and anger, leaving me feeling as though my complaint was not valued or taken seriously. This experience has left me deeply dissatisfied with Screwfix as a company. I will no longer be shopping at your stores and will be sharing my experience with others. I hope this review serves as a wake-up call for the Stockport branch to address these issues and improve their customer service standards. If a manager or area manager would like to discuss this matter further, I would be happy to provide additional details. However, if this is not resolved to my satisfaction, I may have no choice but to take the matter further.

Wanted to say thanks to the guy that helped us out, unfortunately didn't get his name but he was beyond helpful we visited 3 times on Sunday to help fix a toilet cistern leak, his advice was 10/10 being a plumber himself. The staff at the store are brilliant!

Staff were under pressure as there didn't seem to be many of them working and half of Stockport had turned up to be served all at once but it was still service with a smile and everything I needed was in stock. What more could you want?

There was a very unprofessional customer service officer, I have ever met in store. I wanted to product details and show him which was in my phone. He found it on the system. Then I asked a question about the engine capacity and he replied "how I say about it just looking your phone". I NEVER BUY FROM SCREWFIX

Excellent Service by the duty manager Sean certainly leads by example. Nothing was too much for him and also asked if I needed anything else on top of the goods I had already bought. Very polite and very happy to help with other questions I asked about
