I visited the Screwfix Stockport (Unit 5, Haigh Ave, SK4 1QR) branch on Sunday 24/08/25 to buy smoke and heat alarms. Since I’m not very familiar with online or in-app ordering, I asked the gentleman at the till to confirm the battery life of the alarms. Rather than checking the product description (which I later saw on the receipt), his response was simply, “I don’t know, mate.” I’ve shopped at this branch many times in the past and usually found the staff pleasant and helpful, but this experience was disappointing. Good customer service makes all the difference, and if this is the standard going forward, I’ll have to reconsider buying from Screwfix again.

The which which saved me a lot from local asian plumbing shops, Boiler&bath Raja plumbing and Home image costs a lot compared to screwfix, If you want quality goods with price then don’t go to local shops they will rob you.
Third time in a row they didn't have anything in stock that I needed. Hence the 1 star review. Keep your stocks resupplied, it's commerce 101 you cretins. And the staff are ALWAYS so miserable. Cheer up, I know you work at screwfix but fix your faces.
Ms S*M is great! She will NOT be tiered when you need help! I was not sure about few measurements. She took those items from the inside and displayed them in front of me, which was extremely helpful. Really impressed! I always love Screwfix and this time there are more reasons to love it more! Recommended?: Highly
