   I’ve been using Tomlinsons for the best part of 3.5 years now in renovating our home. Each member of staff is welcoming, helpful and will tolerate my multitude of requests. Granted you need to wait occasionally but it’s a case of picking your timings really. I think we have utilised every section from paint, doors, window cills, wood for a arbour, wood for a shepherds hut . . . Every time, they have been on hand to advise what’s best and all with good humour.

No worries with Tomlinson's, always friendly and helpful with the advice you need despite the fact you're not going to be spending fortunes.    Looking to improve my staircase, I had spent nearly two years going through a variety of staircase companies - one even quoted me over £12,000 to clad and refurb the existing narrow one we had. I had a lot of different ideas about how quite an unusual staircase could fit in place of the old one, but no expert knowledge of what could be done, regs etc. After a lot of searching a joiner came, scratched his head and then said he recommended we speak to Tomlinson Parbans. Since making that enquiry, Rick and Duncan in joinery have been absolutely amazing. They totally understood the project, were clearly experts in understanding what needed to be in place, and came out out quite a few times to make sure everything was right prior to manufacture. In a quick turnaround time, they made a beautiful bespoke new ash staircase which was much grander and wider than the original, and at much less than the price we had been quoted just for a refurb. They have been back on a couple of occasions to add the finishing touches - all part of the service - and have been at the end of the phone all the time for my queries. Pricing was clear, very reasonable, and payment very straightforward, even though we moved the goalposts a bit as the project progressed there was no change to the price. I've experienced a lot of tradespeople/suppliers/builders over the years - Rick and Duncan were just really honest, straightforward to deal with, produced exactly what we wanted at a great price in a great timescale. What more would you want?
