    I’ve always enjoyed going here as the staff are so friendly and helpful, and it’s basically an Aladdin’s Cave! Unfortunately today wasn’t the best experience. I called the store about 4pm regarding a specific item. I then walked 1.5 miles as I don’t drive and from about 4:40pm I kept calling the store on my way as I know they close at 5pm, and just wanted to double check they would still be open but no answer. I arrived at 4:52pm and the store was completely closed. I don’t think I’m being unreasonable in expecting a store to be open until 5pm if that’s what their advertised hours are online. I also have a bad foot and could have done without a wasted 3 mile walk, which I’ll have to repeat again in the morning.

    Snape & Sons had an item available for collection for which I had a dire need! The online purchase was very simple; so simple, in fact, that I was a little suspicious that it hadn't worked properly, but - having placed the order in the late evening - I received an e-mail the next morning to let me know that my ordered goods were available for pick-up. The shop has a handy car park to call its own and the staff were very friendly and the order was exactly as it should be.
