It says you are open on the website but I came down today at 12.45 and the shutters were down. Do you close for lunch? Might have been helpful to know as I paid 4.10 to park.

Few years ago I use to buy all my outdoor gear from this place and one day I popped into see if he could change me a five pound note for the parking machine, he told me I had to buy something so he could open the till (which was bullshit) so I picked up a Kendal mint cake, then the dude tried charging me for the 3 for 2 deal even though it was obvious that I was only buying it to get change, so I walked out. I needed to pay for the parking at the side of his shop so I could shop in his shop so him being greedy cost him as I never bought from him again.

Excellent service, knowledgeable and friendly staff. I was able pick up a couple of new coats one for Winter and one that I can use to keep me dry in summer. Thank you for all your help. Prices are very reasonable, with quality stock, I would highly recommend.

It is nice go to a shop where the LOCAL owner actually knows his product... Update - Roger remembered I wanted a whistle cap for my Kelly Kettle (about 8 months ago) which he did not stock at the time; took the time to dig my number out, when he got some in, called and reserved me one . Top class service!

Lovely shop and service and got my winter walking coat reduced to £29.99. Loads of winter bargains an absolute must visit even for children. Thank you

After a really poor experience at Go Outdoors trying to buy a pair of boots I went to Peakland Outdoors. Yes you pay a bit more, but the customer service and knowledge of the products are streets apart. I will definitely use this place again.

We have recently had some tent poles repaired here and the service was amazing. The owner, Roger, had to source some different poles as ours weren't available but made sure the repaired poles were exactly the right size and even part pitched the tent in the upstairs shop to make sure. It was very inexpensive also. We have used the tent since and it was perfect! Thanks Roger!

Very impressed! I recently purchased a rechargeable head torch from here, but it suddenly stopped working. Upon returning to the shop, I was dealt with most courteously and given a new replacement without any quibbling. I wish them every success if this is how they treat customers. Well done and thank you! S Taylor
