Went to Costa today at Selly Oak, I was shocked to see the two staff supposedly serving to be messing around with each other, slapping each other and acting like children. The one member of staff was seemingly paying no attention to food hygiene, although she wore gloves, touched everything including a bin. I am glad I had a food straight from a packet. Tables were unclean and my tray stuck to the table, good job I had my own antibacterial wipes. I wonβt be going back again, I very much like Costa coffee but certainly wasnβt impressed at this branch, was a let down.

Just been serve and the service is not as good as the one in bearwood and in harborne, its 10:12am and the barista is already stressed and cant even give a good nice smile, i think being nice is going to be a once in a week thing and so as the listening, she forgot my flat white and not even a sorry is given. Not nice

The place has had a makeover and as with other makeovers they have made it worse. Gone are all comfy seats by the window. In has come very uncomfortable seating high marble oval tables hard school type seats. High industrial ceilings, which seem to be the fashion these days, makes it difficult for people, like me, with hearing difficulties to hear anything in a conversation. Staff fine coffee fine but clearly they have had enough of students spending all day here and made it hard to stay for more than a few minutes. One good thing now open till 8pm.

The shop is nice, bright and airy. It has nice decors throughout. Staff were friendly and accommodating. I even got a free cookie as the first one she gave me is broken which is quite nice. I had a wet cappuccino and it was as I want my coffee to be. I love the atmosphere of the shop a bit busy but with the right amount of buzz going.

Staff were really helpful with serving to the table while I fed our son, and brought cold water to help chill is bottle. It would be nice to have auto/ power door when having a push chair

I enjoy spending my mornings at costa coffee before heading to work, although I have noticed a few changes in regards to management. The staff no longer seem to be themselves and that was the whole reason Iβd go in for a nice chat. Sadly this has changed and for sure the atmosphere is not the same. But overall the staff are friendly and efficient.

LOVE going to Costa but for some reason I had poor mobile reception in this Costa and there didn't seem to be any WiFi available but I'm a bit of a technophobe so it might have been me! Unusual that the toilets are kept locked and you have to obtain the code to unlock them from the staff - hadn't come across this before in a Costa. I do like this Costa as there's plenty of seating available and you can park right outside, particularly useful when you're disabled like me. The girl serving was very nice, offering to bring my coffee to the table as I was on crutches. Pro's and con's but I've been before and I'll definitely be going back again.
