Booked this pottery for my best friends birthday as a girly treat. No upfront cost, you just arrive just a piece of pottery you'd like to paint and after instructions, off you go. There is also optiom have drinks and little cakes etc whilst you're there. There was just one guy there for when we booked and he was super friendly and funny. The place was clean and tidy which made it even more inviting. Cost ranges depending on what pottery you chose. After you paint he will let you know how long til you can pick up your piece after it has been glazed etc.

Café Craft was a really pleasant surprise. The place is full of vibrant colours and has a proper artsy vibe. It genuinely feels like the sort of environment where creativity comes to life. The staff were brilliant too. I arrived late to my booking but they still gave us an extra 30 mins at the end while they were getting the shop ready to close, to finish our pieces. A small gesture, but a really kind one. When we arrived for the painting session we chose our pottery, got seated, and got painting. Staff explain everything you need to know about the process and even have stencils to help you create designs. Our pieces were ready to collect just two days later, which was much quicker than I expected. I was convinced it would be a weeks wait. I didn’t order any food or drink, so I can’t comment on that side of things, but the pottery painting itself was thoroughly enjoyable. Overall, a lovely experience from start to finish. It’s a brilliant spot for a date, or for a fun activity with friends and family.

Really lovely atmosphere and good quality materials. Staff let us have a little more time at the end as we had gone for complicated designs and hadn't quite finished! Everyone is super helpful and checks in to make sure you have everything you need. Lovely chai latte also! Will be returning many times

Really enjoyed our afternoon session, was such a lovely activity to do. A fabulous range of pottery and colour glazes to choose from and the only limitation is your imagination. Food and drink were simple but done very well. The only little thing I would suggest, is to have sponge stamps for the glaze as well. Can be useful for people with lesser dexterity, but the paint brushes provided work just fine.

What a place. A hidden gem. Accidently tumbled into the cafe while waiting for a meet up. The barrista / manager came over to explain the concept of the cafe to us. It's such a lovely place to bring children to do pottery art while the elders enjoy their coffee. The concept of craft with coffee is amazing. Had a caramel frappe and it was of superb taste. Highly recommended.

Fab little place - took the little one for a morning activity and really nailed the creative, calming, yet super fun vibe. It's a little expensive so will be a less frequent activity, but will definitely be doing this again!!

Really lovely experience. However the lady on the till was really blunt and rude, just really not what you would expect. The pottery was more expensive than others but it was okay! Could do with better stencils and brushes - especially for the price you pay. Food was average, frap was served in a takeaway cup with no cream which was a bit disappointing. The coffee was nice though. I would return for the concept but think it could be done better. Also don't think 2 hours is long enough really, I felt a bit rushed. The tables are crammed in, could be organised better.

Coffee and Community Creativity at Cafe Craft. I don't care how good the coffee is. If an establishment brings together the community, in Cafe Craft's case, in the name of craft. Birmingham has become a better place. When I entered, it was crammed full of kids and parents in the heart of the cafe. It's not a small place either. There were a few tables free near the entrance, but I had second thoughts. Tamu Cafe cast a shadow on my thoughts (I love that place). Coffee, is not artisanal, but I'm sure most customers will be satisfied with their italian roast. A nice complement to a spot of community creativity.
