   This place is a real community pub. They have live music, karaoke on Mondays, Auctions, community meetings. The list goes on and on. The staff are excellent and very helpful

   We hired this function room for a wake after my mum's funeral. To say they were amazing is an understatement. The room was free yet they let us bring all our own food and they put it in a chiller for us. Then as my brother out friend and I were discussing amongst ourselves what we needed to do to sort the food and it would have to wait until after the funeral as we were out of time, Hayley (I hope I'm remembering her name right I have been very stressed and upset so my memory isn't great right now), kindly offered that the staff would put it out for us. They were friendly and service at the bar was great despite being very busy at times. The room itself is great and just what you need for a medium sized gathering of any kind. I wouldn't hesitate to hire this again for a happier occasion. When we nipped back for our cars and I left my adult daughters I asked them to do a final clean up their staff offered to do it and said we could leave it. We didn't as I didn't feel that would be right but the offer was appreciated.

   Great local pub. Very busy on a Friday night, with a DJ so best to avoid if you want a quiet night, but rest of the week, it is a nice quiet pub

   I am sure this is a lovely pub inside and serves the area well but :(.......i was just wondering if you intend to let bikes use your forecourt to drink and ride up and down highwood avenue...we live down the bottom end near the island and have constantly monitored bikes up and down with no care and consideration this happens most sundays and the landlord/landlady do nothing :(...if this continues then we will push and push with the local Councillor to do something and obviously police...this all reflects on the pub so should help matters speed up....where did it go wrong :(

   This was refurbished by new owners about a year ago. It was a Hell forsaken place before and now it's a perfectly okay local boozer. The front room lacks atmosphere but they've done really well with the back room. Compared to how it was, they've done well.
