A wholesome christmas morning spent with the grinch. What a lovely, cosy, child friendly pub with lovely management. Oscar & Lottie were well looked after this morning, thank you!

Great spot to take the dog to the outside area, for a snack and a pint of cider. The Cobb rolls are so fresh and great value.

Nice pub, great atmosphere. Their selection of cider wasn't as wide as I had hoped, but they did have some good old Cheddar Valley at least. Food looked like food pub grub, but maybe a little over priced?

I came here because visiting family, prebooked our table as it's very popular on Sundays. Carvery style sunday roast where you pay just before you get your food served at the hot plate. £6.50 for under 8 year olds, £11.50 for small plate and £15.50 for large plate. Bare in mind, during the busiest times, it can get very noisy. But the service was efficient but not as friendly as expected. The quality of the food is good and great value for money. Good choice of vegetables and condiments available. Traditional pub decor, quite simple. Would recommend it.

A great canal side pub with a very warm welcome. We were staying in our camper van nearby and walked down the canal for a few beers and dinner. The food is traditional pub grub, great value and huge portions. We got chatting to the landlord who was very friendly. A good range of beers and a warm cosy atmosphere. Recommend a visit. Thanks

Very welcoming traditional pub which adds to it's charm.. ....Called in for refreshments to the lovely smell of cooking. "Wednesday Carvery " we had to try it ! Good honest food, good value at £10:50.

The Good. Food is relatively cheap. They serve Doom bar beer both regular and extra cold. Lovely setting by the canal. Plenty of outside seating. Menu is straightforward pub grub and they have specials. Kids menu is good value. The Bad. Garden strewn with cigarette butts. Outside benches haven't been updated for many a year which means they are peeling with paint. They have positioned big commercial bins right in the view of the canal. Why?? Why? Service at the bar was great from the bar lads . Service at the table was amusingly bad. A smile would cost nothing! Maybe she was having a bad day. The marquee was covered in grime. Little things, but important things which would make a difference to this superbly located pub.

Excellent service staff really helpful, nice food and the Christmas decorations in the main foyer are stunning. Summertime it's lovely outside sitting by the canal. Live bands and bbq. Highly recommended.
