This pub is a great place to go. Management put on some great entertainment and cater for all. I’ve been there when it’s been a family day, free food, free sweets and gifts for the kids. A big up to who ever runs this pub, certainly know how to look after the public.
Attended yesterday for the football atmosphere was brilliant and great prices on drinks! Staff were welcoming and friendly! We’ll be back again x

I don’t think I’ve ever had an experience in a pub quite as unpleasant as this one! I wasn’t aware there was football and/or darts on (that’s mostly my fault though) but it definitely was not a general pub vibe, there were strobe lights going off & music so loud you unfortunately had to scream to be heard. Not exactly what you’d expect from a small pub. I’m going through my first pregnancy & struggling heavily with severe nausea, throwing up, etc - I’m finding it so difficult to be able to drink or eat certain things. We went up to the bar & just to reiterate - we were basically screaming at the pitch of our voices and still couldn’t be heard. I tried asking about non-alcoholic spirits, they had none. Only a non-alcoholic beer or cider (both makes me sickly). I couldn’t see very many other options suitable for me to drink so I asked (and had to ask numerous times due to the volume of the music) if it was possible for me to pop next door to buy a soft drink to bring in. The lass I was speaking to wasn’t sure as she was new (no issues with her she was very nice & polite) so she tried to ask her boss who I’m assuming is the owner of the pub. She came back and said a soft drink is fine as long as I’m not pouring myself alcohol. I explained I’m pregnant and would not be doing that. The owner then came over, extremely standoffish and rude towards me saying no, I couldn’t. I tried to explain to her that most drinks make me nauseous & I just wanted to have a soft drink that would help with that due to pregnancy & she simply stood there growing more annoyed, rolling her eyes and shrugging her shoulders at me telling me no and that there were “plenty of other options” without actually offering or suggesting anything. Being pregnant means that I’ve also been struggling a lot with hormones out of balance & the way I was treated unfortunately did almost bring me to tears so I just said never mind & hid in the loo for a while until I could calm myself down. When I told my partners lovely nan about the experience she thought it was very silly I was treated so poorly over wanting a soft drink & she went next door to get me one. I sat sipping my cream soda & feeling a little better (had been preparing to throw up shortly before this which is a very unpleasant feeling to deal with when staff aren’t being helpful) when the owner came over demanding to take the cream soda away from us. Going on about her “livelihood” and her “license” - over a bit of cream soda. She then went on to be quite patronising towards my partners lovely nan telling her “you’re not children, we’re all adults here” and about us “pouring our own drinks” - one drink, nonalcoholic for a pregnant woman dealing with severe nausea. Everyone else in our group of five people were spending plenty of money on drinks - the two people we’d joined were already quite drunk by the time we got there so had spent a fair chunk of money in the pub. My partner even offered to pay the price of a soft drink if she would let me just continue to drink my cream soda which she said no to. She again stated I’d be offered “many options” - I’d been offered no such thing. Personally, I love pubs & I’m an avid pub-goer. I’ve worked in various bars and pubs over the years. I’d never think to treat a pregnant woman the way this pub owner treated me. I even reached out to some close friends who manage pubs & asked for their opinion & they were shocked at how she handled things. We decided to leave as honestly, I’d have rather been anywhere else. We went across to Beggars Bush where the staff were incredibly accommodating & friendly. They were more than happy to let me bring in my cream soda & even a tub of ice cream to sit in the corner with. When I asked them their opinion, they expressed that a pregnant woman would be considered an exception to the rule. Patrons of the pub overheard me explaining the issues I’d had at Greyhound and weren’t surprised. I was told by numerous people that I wasn’t the first nor would I be the last to experience something unpleasant at The Greyhound.

Great pub, with excellent atmosphere. Popped in for a couple of pints, made to feel very welcome.
