Wow..sorry what a disappointment. Upon arrival for our reservation at 5pm for 9 of us, we stood waiting to be seated for 10 minutes. When I finally went searching for someone it took another 10 minutes waiting for them to find our reservation, figure out where they were going to put us and then slammed some non matching tables together in the dining area. When ordering the food, after going in search of a kids menu, the lady advised a 15 minute wait time which i thought was a bit ambitious, 35 minutes later 6 of the meals arrived together, two 5 mins later, the remaining were carvery. The salad accompanying my burger looked like it had literally been sitting at the bottom of a rubbish bin for days...gave the salad back to the young lad ..never saw him again. It put me off the whole thing, I didn't eat my burger, if you can send out a meal from a kitchen like that what the hell was lurking in the burger..pizzas were reported as greasy. It was then when a lady with a walking stick with an obvious walking impediment wanted to use the disabled toilet, when I and she realised the tables had been placed blocking access to it..we had to physically move furniture to allow her to get through safely to her destination then wait for her to come out..so so embarrassing for the poor woman. If god forbid she had been in a wheelchair, we would have had to, literally move half the tables we were sitting at..!! No one asked if we had enjoyed our visit before we left, no one asked if the meals were OK after they arrived it was like "we've got your money so ho hum" Sorry Plume of Feathers I know it's Christmas..but this was dreadful...we all left very deflated by the whole experience. As a side note I've been to the Plume for breakfast on several occasions previously, I was always struck by the seemingly indifferent attitude by staff on arrival, no warmth, bit impersonal, especially the chefs who appear now and then looking very angry and seemingly pissed off with their jobs. I don't expect dancing girls and a fanfare but a good morning and a smile helps the medicine go down. After tonight Plume of Feathers I will be giving you a miss in 26 ..straw and camels back and all that..

Awful experience. This was the worst Stonehouse experience ever. We booked a table and visited with my family. Firstly, the lady told me today got some problem, not offering pizza at the moment. She seems asking me to leave and not welcoming us to take the seat. We wait for 10mins and she came back again and ask us again do we still want to seat in. I am curious why repeatly ask us again after a while, we then finally got seated down. She said it needs to be waited at least 30mins to order for the pizza as they got some problem. We still ordered some other food first and asked her to let us know if the pizza is ready to order again. After 45mins, we saw somebody got the pizza and we went to the tilt and ask if they are offering now. She said it was ready now. They havent get any notice us and say apologies on our waiting. We then ordered the pizza and she asked about our app and code. We did gave her and scanned. After confirming the selections and do the payment, we gave her the gift card however, we found it hasn't given us the 50% off pizza for the promotion discount. We asked why the price is not as expected and we ask for the correction. The lady said it is not reversible, cannot be cancelled or refund. She hasn't thought any guilty on my order as we waiting for 45mins and not even confirm us with the correct price. I pretty sure she found something wrong in the price but not going to remind us. She insist not going to refund or provide us half price promotion. We said we have to get money and cancel the pizza add-on order. She insist it's my fault instead of any of her fault. Finally she gave her the gift card of what I should have the refund. It is a nightmare of what we spent our lovely time with my family. NEVER go this Stonehouse unless you want adventures.

We didn't realise you had to book on a Sunday to be guaranteed a table. It was a last-minute, belated birthday meal for my grandson. Kate originally dealt with the booking and even went out of her way to call me back. Although they couldn't guarantee that our tables would be together, the following day, Julie, the manager, went above and beyond to ensure we had tables together. This was especially important as a few of our grandchildren have additional needs, and it would have been extremely difficult if the tables were apart. However, Julie made this happen. All the staff were amazing, making sure the children had coloring activities and high chairs, and giving them lots of attention. Every member of staff was very helpful, pleasant, and honestly couldn't do enough. The food was amazing, and everyone enjoyed it. There was also a very good range of children's meals. We will definitely be back very soon as a family. There aren't many places that offer excellent service and excellent food. Thank you so much to Julie and her fantastic team x

New Landlord Alan and Landlady Jules have made a real difference, adding a bit of personality to the pub. Carvery as always is great, drink selection could be better with a few more craft beer’s available than there currently is.

Food always really good here and the staff are very friendly. Would definitely recommend the fishless fish fillet tasted great! Wish they would bring back the jelly and trifle though :)

My food was lovely, massive burger. My Mum had meat feast pizza but she found it was salty, I tried some I thought it was OK. She had the carvery instead which she loved. Staff were lovely and understanding. Waiter was lovely but I forgot his name and the chef was lovely as well

This is always mine and my besties go to place for breakfast. They have everything you could want. Porridge, toast and jam, pancakes and waffles. Hot breakfast includes pork sausage, bacon, eggs, hash browns, plum tomatoes, baked beans, fried bread, black pudding and mushrooms on request. There's even breakfast pizza with breakfast toppings. Tea and coffee once purchased one, is unlimited. Made by Richard the chef & team.

Attended here with the family after a spontaneous decision to eat out for dinner. Staff were courteous, especially the chef on the carvery counter. With my wife being a vegetarian the chef gave her enough information which she really appreciated. The food itself was really nice, hot, tasty and filling too. Will be returning again and the price was very reasonable too.
