Shocking service, early closing because management are drinking and really can't be bothered with customers, not children friendly at all. False information about about Green King offers??? Pub closes too early eg 9.45 last orders, absolutely not worth visiting !!!

We stumbled across the lodge when walking our Collie. We wasn't sure what to expect but what we did find were friendly bar staff, friendly regulars and a genuinely welcoming landlord and landlady. More importantly they welcome well behaved dogs which is brilliant because our Betty loves to socialise. Free water for dogs is always offered. Music is on in the background too which is fantastic. We love this place!
