   Staff were very welcoming when we arrived and everything seemed to be very well organised. The food was hot when it arrived and the 2 special requests were dealt with without any difficulty. The children did have to wait quite a while to see Santa but they were able to occupy themselves with the games that had been laid on. Overall it was a good experience and, if it's available, we'll be doing it again next year.

   We were a group of 4 and it was busy when we first arrived. We ordered and the food was ok after dinner we decided to order coffees. This is where our problems began. I have to say the restaurant had emptied out by now. We waited over 30 mins for our coffee before one of our group went to chase them up. They had been forgotten! We waited another 10 minutes and someone else went to chase up the coffee. When they eventually arrived 45 minutes later. We asked to speak to the manager and for our money back for the coffee. By the time we were due to leave the manager still hadn't appeared and no refund had been given. One of our group went back to the till and managed to get the coffees refunded but no one even attempted to apologise for the abismol service.

   Booked for a funeral gathering in a separate function room. Friendly initial phone call - extremely helpful. Process was quick and easy and mainly online. Was able to update the booking numbers and change a few things quickly and without issue. Perfect process for a funeral gathering when there are so many other things to be organising too. Made everything super easy. Staff were very helpful but also kept a respectful distance. I was really happy we chose Farmer John’s.

   I booked the function room for my partners baby shower. From booking the room up to leaving after the baby shower had finished I could not believe the service I received. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating, the function room was ready for me to set up early enough to make sure everything was ready for my partner. The staff made sure that everyone was ok and gave them a warm friendly welcome. A lot of the people that came ordered food and everyone said they enjoyed their meals and would definitely be returning with their family and friends again. I highly recommend Farm John's to anyone who wants and nice meal in a cosy environment with staff that will help you with any need.

   What can I say except that our meals tasted really nice. The last time we came here the meals were okay, nothing special. Today we went to Farmer John's for a meal, what can I say except that in my opinion the meals were vastly improved. My partner had cheese and leek pie with chips and I had steak and ale pie with chips. Both our pies tasted extremely nice, especially mine. I had my peas replaced (as I do not eat peas) with a salad and our chips were really well cooked and not over done. Yes, we will gladly visit farmer Johns again for a meal.

   Late Sunday afternoon, and we still managed to get roast beef dinners that arrived promptly. Our children enjoyed the variety of the children's menu that has had a shake up, and the children's puddings are worth the £1.50 each (chocolate brownie and ice-cream). There is no longer table service as all orders are taken at the bar. However, there were 4 bar staff, which made the process quick. A great family pub with reasonable priced food. Was impressed with the chess board that entertained the older children and the outdoor space they could enjoy.

   Visited for lunch a friends catch up after 5 years. Prebooked for four adults. The food: Steak and ale pie was okay, but definitely a left the customer hungry the pie was much smaller than expected. Chicken salad, pretty much leaves thrown together, a bit of bacon with chicken and no dressing to blend the combination. The Sunday Chicken roast dinner wow looked amazing but that is where it ended, there was no flavour at all and those are definitely not roast potatoes that arrive with it. The ultimate SF Chicken Burger, it was okay no real wow factor, I recon a chargrilled version would be much better as the coating had no seasoning. We opted for desserts choc fudge cake and the choc orange sponge, they were on point, in fact they were the highlight of our visit. The service we received from Amreeta was second to none, polite and professional. All in all the service is great, but if we ever return it would only be for the dessert menu. For the £81 spent, it was definitely not great value for money in our experience sadly. All for supporting pubs but there needs food that makes you want to return and we honestly didn't get that.
