Lovely well stocked café at Sandal Castle. Delighted to find several freshly baked vegan scones which were lovely and no charge for oat milk in the delicious coffee. Super friendly service and dogs welcome as long as they are calm. We stayed outside with our not very calm hound ;) Very popular so expect a wait!
Excellent food and atmosphere with plenty of info on the walls regarding things related to Sandal Castle. Dog friendly too. Lovely Cafe.
Visited Sandal Castle, mid-July, after discovering it on Google. I was so happy to see there was a café too. We, 3 of us, arrived just as the café was about to close 14:30, the café staff went out of their way to cook me a delicious bacon and sausage roll, my son had 3 cheese roll with chips. We also had 3 home made rock cakes / scones, coffee and cold drinks. I can’t wait for another warm day to return. Carpark is free too.
Our favourite spot in Wakefield! The staff are always so lovely and welcoming, and the food is just perfect. Always up for a sunny seat outside, especially with an ice cream in hand!
Nice little cafe with really friendly staff and always lovely food. Certainly not the cheapest, you’re looking at a tenner for a bacon & egg sandwich with a coffee. I went back and got a can of R Whites lemonade which was two quid. I’m like really ? Two quid for a can of pop ? Come on, a quid fair enough, but they are taking p with some of the prices.
Ordered Christmas Dinner from here and was plentiful I thought I wasn't going to finish it. The veg with herbs were gorgeous and was a great price. Thank you.
Lovely staff, great food, great value. They often have gluten free sausages and bread or will swap out for an alternative if needbe. Dog friendly cafe, brilliant location.
Lovely little dog friendly cafe at sandal castle, use this as a regular meet for friends with dogs, go for a walk then get coffee and cake. Service is great, dogs allowed inside, cakes are delicious. Definitely becoming one of my favourite go to places ! Parking can be a bit limited, but on street parking nearby, you can also call and book tables !

Called in a few time's whilst out for a walk. Lovely little cafe good menu selection grate service staff very friendly. Nice to sit outside on good days relaxing place.
