A couple of months ago I came here for a glass of wine and to wait for a friend. I was served by Luke McDonnell and he was very pleasant and warm. I enjoyed my glass of rose while reading my kindle and waiting for my friend. Will definitely come back again.

Since Wetherspoons decided to stop doing steaks at their pub chains. Me and my needed somewhere in town that still do it.. So we decided to go to the trocadero and try it out as we never been in there for food. We went for the 16oz Steak with Peppercorn Sauce and a side portion on Crispy Prawn, which also had a side of Chips, Tomato, Mushroom and Garden Peas. Brilliant price ans quality of food ans service by the two colleagues Heather and Levi who served me today.

Popped in early on a weekday before lunch plans elsewhere, it was fairly quiet at that time. I was only here for a drink so can't comment on the food. The interior has been done up nicely, and the beer selection is better than an average pub, I went for the Beavertown Neck Oil. I don't know how to explain this, but the vibe seemed a little off, and slightly kind of uncomfortable and maybe unwelcoming? I'm not able to articulate properly in words what I mean, but it was enough to make me move on elsewhere after one drink. I have since looked through other reviews on here that seem to corroborate my view.

A special shout-out to Sophie, Lucy, and Helen, who were nothing short of exceptional. Their warm, friendly service and genuine attentiveness made our visit really memorable. What impressed us even more was how accommodating they were. We’d asked if we could watch the F1, and without hesitation, they made it happen for us — such a thoughtful touch that really went above and beyond.

I like the Troc. We don't drink in there much but whenever i go in i always think i should drink there more. Proper pub. It has had a face lift in recent years, but it is still a good old pub. It had the rugby on large screens everywhere as well. Pints were clean although expensive at over £6 for a pint of premium. It is 4.90 up at the joint stock.

Came here for lunch as it was close to our hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent and tasty. There was a good selection of drinks and the place was spotlessly clean.

Came here to watch sports and it was perfect! Decent selection of draught beers and enough large TVs scattered to watch sport easily. Staff are friendly and the place has a great vibe, especially on match days!

This was our meeting up pub for years back in the 80's, we have had stag do's, watched Cup Finals and broke many hearts... maybe not the last one. The Troc has undergone many changes of ownership, the toilets have been relocated a couple of times ( now down the stairs at the back of the pub). The Troc offers excellent beers and lagers as well as proper pub grub, burgers, pies etc. The Troc is very handy for travellers arriving by train to New Street station and you pass the equally excellent Shakespeare as a bonus.

Beautiful exterior and interior. One of the best looking pubs in Birmingham. Drink prices were great and food was delicious - the macaroni and cheese impressed even my Italian girlfriend - so it must be good. Staff weren't the most polite but honestly a great pub all round.
