   **Unfortunately now ceased trading** So handy for New Street station when you can find the doorway (No. 84) Choice of cask ales on sale varies but they tend to be from the more obscure breweries.

   Lovely little gem of a pub! Well worth a visit if you like a traditional pint. Two ways in, one from Penfield Street, and the other from New Street - right next door to Greggs. You can even take your own food down into the vaults, and they will provide a plate, knife and fork!

   Great pub in the basement. Lookout for the door next to Greggs. Excellent range of ales and ciders. Only pub snacks available but you can take your own food in to eat with a drink.

   Great little find right near New Street Station. Good vibe and atmosphere and a nice selection of ales available. Excellent display of beer bottles around the bar on shelving and the wifi password made me chuckle.

   Popped in for a swift pint before athletics and ended up having 2. Its welcoming pub, down some steps. Opening out to a single room with hops on the ceiling, old photos of the area and a fantastic selection of cask ale. I think six when I visited. The bottle selection was tempting but I didn't have a lot of time. Barstaff and clientele were friendly.

   The vaults is another favourite of old men who drink real ales, the beer selection is superb with Belgium beers supplementing the draught ales available. The vaults is on the left at the top of New Street Birmingham, it's easy to miss so it's good to find it, you won't regret a swift pint here.

   Great old little pub, I'm a big cider drinker and they have a lot of still cloudy ciders on offer. I had 2 different flavours while I was there and they were really good. Great friendly service as well. Even got a compliment from Charlotte who served me as I was dressed up as a peaky blinder. Will visit again when in bham

   Great hidden pub with a choice of 6 real ales when we were there (normally there are 8). Also a good choice of cider. Friendly barman. And there is a bar billiards table! Have not seen one of these for years.
